I'm thinking hood without front cap, as if someone was standing by right fender looking to front of car. You can see the hood vents, as well as the raised center section.
Aother reason I think it's the rear. In the second picture above you see the "7682" written in chalk. If you look at the first pick it is marked "7682L" I think the L would mean "Left" so that eliminates it from being the front right fender if indeed this was a front fender without the nose clip. I don't think that could be a hood vent in the first picture because the angles are wrong and that does not explain the continued "dark area" that expands from the so called hood vents.
just my opinion...
Wow, something else I just noticed on this shot. Look above the front bumper and you can see the plastic duct that will connect to the hood vents.....that baby is wide!!!!
The frame looks like it's much lower mass than the old frame. It looks like there was a very significant effort to reduce the weight ...
.
The frame certainly does look "lower mass". No more massive full-length hydroformed frame rails. The C7's aluminum hydroformed sections are much shorter and chopped off right after the front and rear control arm mounting points. Then lighter extruded aluminum extensions are welded on for the remaining distance to front and rear.
I just dont get all the complaining.
What did you think they were going t show the car ,, come on.
I thikn GM did this right by releasing smoe vice tidbits and then WE WILL HAVE THE REVEAL.
Peopel really need to take a close llok at these.
I think this has been better then the C6 release and the fact it is been kept well guarded.
But i guess just like there is an AZZ for every seat. Cant make everyone happy
I think you're right. People don't understand the thrill of the build up. I love this sh*t!
Maybe it has to do with the age of entitlement I keep hearing about: Must see car now!!

I also think that "ridge line" may be on the front and rear fenders. Looking at the silhouette on the banner is leaning me in that direction along with the rear

The sight of these videos reminds me of being a kid and seeing a big wrapped box show up beneath the christmas tree with your name on it, three more days to wait and open the thing that will torture you in your sleep........
One shot I saw the frame looked like hydroform steel, hopefully it is Aluminum. Maybe they showed two different frames in the video
The front frame crossmember in front of the radiator looks like the one in my C5 only larger, steel too

Sounds like Michael Bay made this commercial and used his left over Transformers sound effects.
Still a very cool video and amazing job GM is doing creating all the hype, they must be grinning ear to ear watching us and the world freak out over every little detail, they are like dealers of happiness just giving us a little glimpse at a time and watching us beg for more
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE
Is that a coilover suspension mount on lower control arm I see in the body/chassis marriage shot

Take a look at the front fender, you see a reflection of a guy. The guy is wearing glasses and if you blow up the photo there is a reflection of the rear of the car coming off his glasses. If you look at that reflection you can see that the ................(The Pledge Police have redacted posters last comments)
Just a little bigger with the intake (I'm guessing) in green.
Any guesses as to the holes at the front of the fender wells??
Thanks for the blowup. Don't have a clue as to what the holes are in the fender liners, but I noticed that you can see the top of the throttle body and the top of the intake manifold. Comparing that to the top of the cowl, it appears that there is room for a supercharger and a top mounted inner cooler without having a raised hood as with the C6 ZR1.
