Of course they don't always "get it right". Nobody does. But the Camaro is a proven example of them doing it right and their sales over the Mustang and their excellence at the track testing the last three years certainly provide the evidence.
Yeah, I don't count the Camaro as not getting it right. While heavy, in its final form(Z/28) its still going to be the highest performing Camaro ever in an all-around sense.
If what the OP meant was that since the C7 is superior in technology and engineering, etc to the C6 then it makes the C6 obsolete, then my respinse is:
Tell us something we all don't already know.
This happens with every new generation of evey car from every manufacturer. The new improved model is better than the old model.

Reminding us all of this is not necessary
In his rightful exuberance over the near completion of the monumental combination of tasks which comprise the introduction of a new generation of America's sports car its chief engineer used that terminology one time. Given the opportunity to go back in time (which none of us ever have), he would probably choose different words to describe the age-old "New and Improved!" concept he was attempting to convey. Don't you think it has been blown a bit out of proportion by some, especially since it is something we all knew already?
What's makes the C 7 so much better technology wise? Electric steering, no thanks. Cylinder deactivation, great for pick ups, etc. Do we need it in a Corvette?
All this so called technology is meant to save fuel, but is it really better technology? Go out and drive a new 911 with electric steering and start and stop all to save 1 mpg. Killed the steering feel not worth the 1 mpg IMO.

What the OP meant was Tadge made the statement and I defined it. My message was the C6 is not obsolete aesthetically. The new Stingray does not make the C6 an unattractive car. The technology, as in everything we have TVs, computers, etc has been surpassed. The anger was that Tadge was calling the entire car obsolete. I am aware of obsolescence thank you.
Damn, for the first time ever, I wish I had waited to purchase my C6. I purchased a new 2012 for 0% interest and well below invoice. Had I been able to tell my sellsman that I'm not interested in buying one of those obsolete C6's, I know he would have knocked of another grand.

No. I just wanted to make sure that my OP was not misunderstood or misquoted. I am not use to someone misinterpreting what I said.
I honestly have no anger or personal feeling towards any member of the Forum.

He was speaking about the new technology not the car itself.
I have tried to stop this thread. But when I do it goes right back up to the top..actually we thought it would stop at a thousand but it did not. This thing has a life of its own.

Oh...did I just extend the idea the C6's are OBSOLETE!
