Glen, those wheels look great on your car!
I don't mind the standard wheels but thought there had to be something better. I was looking forward to your pix of the wheels installed after you posted the wheel photo in a thread. Really a great look.
Do you know if they come in a size that would fit on the standard tire?
Time to detail today ,and I've sent this procedure to a few here:
1. wash car with Dawn...to strip the car...you do this once....
2. I use a prep towel which is better than clay, then wax on the total polish and seal, buff it off and wipe on and walk away the Crystal seal - no buffing - whole car is about 60 min to do...I don't believe in hard details....LOL
And it comes out like this for 3 months:
Polymers set up a "candy like" look I love..you can see some of the depth here:
Let me say right off I'm not sold on this mod. I don't get my cars very dirty so I thought I would try to match the 2LT adrenaline red with floor mats to carry some of the color forward, instead of just across.... I fear I have created a whorehouse look!!! - LOL
I'll live with it for while and see... This is the LLoyd Custom Ultimat from Autoanything.com in Torch Red:
Detail looks great Glen, but I agree with you about the mats. They might be a bit much. Great concept, but I think black mats with torch red piping might be better.
Very nice car and rims, Glen! Thanks for posting. I will be following your path when I receive my non-z51 car in Dec/Jan, so your threads are very informative for me.

I have to agree with the 'too much of a good thing' position.
It is so easy to get 2x the pop out of your pipes with the right tools. The tool that makes this work is called a Mother's Power Cone avail at any parts store. You can do this in 10 min with a drill, no sweat at all. The Borla exhaust metal polish is great - off amazon. Apply the paste to the cone, stick it on the drill, and power away. You can not do it too much but 10 secs on each pipe will get results...Once polished, buff it off and spray with alcohol to clean it and apply a few drops of opti coat if oyu want to seal inthe gloss (optional) ...done for months...the soot now will just wipe of easily, gloss is preserved. Before - these are clean and scrubbed: But wow! they can get much better polished:
And they really pop from far away now...as they were meant to be...
and optional, a few drops of OC 2.0:
BTW, the power cone is fantastic for wax on wheels....
Two other mods done today:
Carbon flash kick panels from RPIdesigns:
XPEL clear bra film for the door sills -$15 off amazon- these sills nick easily...
Glen, your car looks amazing. Keep up the great work, and I'm glad the negative tone of this thread left for good!
thanks......it's just the way forums are, some are unhappy with appearance mods as they are "track bullies" and think everything should be done thru their eyes, others are jealous, others are just plain idiots...The people that don't like what I do and tell me why, I read, as no one will like everything...and I can take it fine...in fact, welcome it...but trashing will always be there...about 8 more mods planned or so...stay tuned!
Glen, sorry couldn't tell from your post - is the tint 19% or 22%. Looks perfect! Love getting ideas for our Cyber Gray coming. You got a great price on wheels, makes me think we should've held with default and upgraded ourselves instead of chrome. Beautiful.
