Okay, so I am on my home the other day in my AW C7 vert, when some guy in a Prius cuts me off then slows down to like 15mph under the speed limit. We are in the left lane and the traffic in the right lane is to heavy to pass this idiot to the right. He stays in front of me for way longer than he needed to. Finally, I was able to pull the the right and pass the Prius. I looked in and sure enough, a very angry looking skinny old geezer with a braided pigtail of stringy gray hair and I'm not making this up, a tie died t-shirt, was clearly scowling at me as I passed. All I could think of was this really cool poster I saw on line...
I know this is generalizing but... . I just concluded a road trip from San Diego to the Oregon coast and then to Boise and back home. Most of the time when the traffic was bogged down the culprit was a Prius doing their best to save gas and to heck with everyone else.
The sad thing is that you can drive a Prius like a normal person and still get great gas mileage. It's not meant for this pulse and glide stuff that the hypermilers do.
I had one and drove to and from work in it, normal speed (70-75), keeping up with traffic, and I got 44 mpg. The extra 4 mpg I'd get by driving like an *** isn't worth it.
I know two Special Forces guys who own Priuses. They are true warriors with no need to prove anything to anybody and I've never seen them come close to losing their tempers. I couldn't imagine them cutting anybody off in traffic unless you were a Taliban or something.
eta: well, one of them admitted to yelling "f***!" one time when somebody shot him from behind in Call of Duty.

The majority of Prius drivers I encounter around Chicago drive very aggressively (no matter which car I'm driving). I think they kind of miss the point of why you buy a Prius.
If they only knew that in Eco mode we get better gas mileage then they do.
Keep in mind that not all Prius drivers poke along like grumpy little grandpas. I travel Texas highways at 85mph (legally) in my Prius and still manage 46 mpg ... quite a bit better than 33.8 mpg.

How is it possible to drive aggressively in a Prius?
Thing can't even get out of its own way..
Passive aggressively, yes, I will concede that as the OP described.
Useless scumbags....

Somehow, those letters just stuck out.
