I'm agreeing with Kevin that the GPS location around the factory is suspect. Basically everyone's car is showing in just 3 positions (water tower, U-drive, Harrison Rd) around the facility. That just doesn't add up.
Thanks Kevin & Doc, great discussion on this thread.
I totally agree. My car showed up at the same locations that you listed also. I also don't think it does a good job of locating it's position when the car is moving on the truck because yesterday OnStar said it was just east of Texarkana which is 200 miles from McKinney TX then I checked again in less than two hours and OnStar said it was in McKinney at Quality Inn where the driver checked in for the weekend. I will say that OnStar did pin point its location where the truck was parked yesterday here in McKinney. I drove to that location and took a picture of the truck full of new vettes. Mine is the one in the middle with chrome wheels. The truck driver quickly came out to his balcony with hands on hips as to say get away from my truck. smile. Dealer said my car will be unloaded Monday and give him three hours to make it ready. I'm not sure if I will keep OnStar after the free six months. I realize there are pro's and con's. To each his own. Good luck to those waiting on their new vette.

My wife and I went to the dealership today and both got to test drive our new c7. We were both extremely impressed. now we're just waiting on the invoice so we can take it home.
First update today: not surprisingly it hasn't moved, still apparently inside the factory.
Tomorrow should be interesting. Those of us sequestered inside the factory might see some movement, and it looks like some member's cars are being delivered!

Still hoping against hope that GM will sit on the invoices until August 15 so you can let loose with a triumphant "I told you so"?
More to the point, why are you still in this thread? You're not awaiting shipment of a 2016 and have only been here to feed off the turmoil you sow.
Could happen. Might be just a way for GM to get rid of the cars from the factory holding lots. Without an invoice no sales will take place. They are now just letting the selling dealers store them.

OK. You got me. I'm speechless due to stupidity overload.
Legally, the WS w/ prices and the C of O are necessary. From a financial point of view the Invoice is necessary because it is not the dealer's (to sell or store) until then.
Note, these are only a problem for a retail sold order with customer at hand. 99% of the time, vehicles lacking these are parked on the back lot and not even shown to walk in prospects so very few even have a chance to notice.
I trust Black&White will hold his breath until the first forum member takes delivery or until August 15, whichever occurs first.

That's got to be in the top ten of the dumbest things I've ever heard on this forum. What possible reason would they want these cars to sit on dealer's lots for a lengthy period of time with no money changing hands and no happy customers?
No reason at all and but for the complexity of modern life Black%White would not be able to allege.
I have experienced a retail sold order (mine) arriving to the ordering dealer and having to wait a day or two for the WS or the Invoice before I could take possession. It happens and has little to do with previous model inventory.
Since July 13 can be considered the middle of July than clearly Black&White hit the nail on the head being off by little more than four weeks. We should all be so accurate.
Lets assume for a moment that they are scheduling museum deliveries for the middle of this week... which they are.... and folks are making airfare/hotel plans and have to come to BG with a bill of sale from the dealer. What are the odds that the museum would be setting this up if invoices were going to be held for a protracted period of time?
NCM told me my dealer will have the invoice tomorrow. I have an appointment at 10:00 am to get my Bill of Sale & vehicle license so I can take delivery at 7:45 Thursday morning. My prediction: Many of us will be driving our cars this week.

How about the certificate of Origin for the plates?
How about the certificate of Origin for the plates?
That would be the license (temp) which I need for NCM to release the car to me. The dealer must get that along with the invoice. This all needs to happen before 4:00 Tuesday because my I leave for the airport at 5:00. The dealer and NCM seemed to think there will be no problem.
