A few of the folks that had placed orders with Kerbeck for the same TPW as me shipped per the tracking page, so that's sort of a good sign for me. I saw my car move around their lot a bit from Friday until now, and they put on .5 miles or so per On-Star. I hope it leaves the facility this week. I'll be disappointed if I dont get it by end of month as my brother is coming home from tour and will ship back out after he visits.

Don't rely on the tracking website. Mine is listed as "shipped/en route". Per discussion with chevy Cust Service and my dealer today, the car is put in this status when the car is built, and usually stays in that status on the website until the car is delivered to the dealer, but still could be listed in this status after the car is delivered to the dealer for days.

My car was built 7/10, and went into shipped/en route on 7/11.

Awesome for you for sure . I'm using their order tracking just as a point of reference while I spam and probably kill my new car's battery via on-star GPS look-up. Right now my car seems to be sitting towards the south east side of the facility. It was directly in the middle of the facility on Friday.

What I would really like to know is what the heck is going on at GM with not invoicing dealers for cars built yet? They released pricing towards the end of June (which was a whole lot later than it should have been, considering they had been accepting orders since May and was actually released after production began).

So, our cars are showing up at the dealership, we can't take delivery because GM doesn't have their act together with regards to billing and getting paid for the vehicle by the dealer, dealer, what a way to run a business......

At least then I knew there was no chance I was going to drive it anytime soon.

I sure find it strange how OnStar is behaving for us. No one else is reporting those problems. It has to be the car cover is causing the GPS to have a weak reading or something. It's like my DJI Phantom 3 drone. If it is in a wide open space, it will land on the dime where it took off. If I am in a constrained space with trees around me it will land about 10-12' from where it took off.
Agree this is really strange but I'm wondering if its something GM does while cars are specifically at the BG plant as mine originally showed up out on Corvette Drive then moved all the way back to Harrison Rd where it sat until this morning when I got a call from dealer that it was on its way. I checked OnStar and it showed it on the I-64 outside of Louisville and followed it all the way into St. Louis when it stopped at Weber Chevy in Columbia, then Bommanto Chevy in South St. Louis and then over to Elco, literally able to follow up down the freeway and off onto the surface street - extremely accurate. Assume my car still has the cover on it from the factory and the OnStar location since it left the plant has been very detailed. Makes you wonder what happens when these cars are sitting at the BG facility?

You are right, it will go to the dealer and in my case with R8C, MacMulkin will mail it to my house in Seattle as I will never make it out to the east coast. But Shane will deliver it to me with the blank windows sticker. Sorry for not being clear about my response. To me it will eventually catch up to the car -- when I am at my house...
My Z06 was one of the first A8 cars and the first A8 Museum delivery. It came with a mostly blank sticker. The complete one was sent to my dealer a couple weeks later. My dealer got the invoice a couple days before the scheduled delivery.

That's exactly my understanding from MacMulkin and Shane.

For those of us tracking their cars with Onstar, is there any way to take the Onstar location and overlay it into google earth?

Why would you want to do this? Google Earth is not real time. You can't see your car. What you can do is go to google maps and click satellite and add in the location you want to look at.

Just a FYI for those tracking their cars.

My dealer just received an entire truckload. My car was not on there but what I found interesting is that he said the cars he received still showed that they were in the BG lot on the work order when obviously their not. Just thought i would share.

You know that you're going to be dead wrong, you swore up and down that nobody would have their cars in their driveways until mid August, and here it is mid July and we are only a day or two away from this becoming a reality now. Do you honestly think it's going to be another month away, and people are going to tell you that you were right all along?? I can't wait to see you eating crow, and I'm so happy for all the people that are getting their cars a month ahead of your insane prediction that everyone knew all along was way off.

I'm thinking my car is in the factory based on the on-star, but I can't really tell.

Mine is in almost in the same spot. I tried to match it up on this Apple Maps image (inside the red rectangle):

Sure seems like it's inside the plant.

You are close to the visitors/employee parking lot and/or the water retention area... Whatever is going on with OnStar will all of our cars isn't working to the fine degree of accuracy we would be expecting. I've seen cars now where they should be in the holding parking lot, by the electrical sub station -- which is not accessible, at the loading docs and at the location where they display too cars in front of the business offices.

I started to take the image from onstar, reduce the opacity and put it on top of Google Maps aerial view, but ran out of time last night. I was just there, so the area is pretty familiar to me as I drove around the entire thing multiple times trying to get pictures of the holding area of all the cars. I've only seen one location posted from our OnStars that is remotely possible and that was the one that was in the holding lot.

The guys who see that their mileage has increased probably have the best insight of information on to if their car is actually moving. Mine has moved back and forth from the electrical substation or the road right next to it to the middle of the lot. Not 1/10th of a mile has been put on.

Something is causing the reporting back of the GPS location of our cars on the lot to be off. No one that I have seen post on this thread has had a stable location for more than a day without seeing their mileage go up.

Needless to say, we all know our cars on still at the factory!

Because when you overlay the OnStar location to a Google Map with an aerial view you can quickly see that where OnStar is saying your car is physically or realistically not possible.
