The GM status code are certainly not real time.

Yes, not Chevy Chat. They still had me at 4000. I haven't checked with them since I saw the car moving.

Chevy chat just told me the same thing... I'm really at 4B00, but they say they don't have that granularity. Better to just contact my dealer... They offered to put me on weekly updates. I'm sure they will tell me my car is being shipped after I do R8C...

Not sure why they just don't do a self-service web site were folks put in their order # and it returns the same code as the dealers. Seems like it would be cheaper that way than having a person man a chat line... If they want to cut costs....

Default First Z06 NCM delivery, Yes!

Supper happy right now. I took delivery of my 2016 Z06 at NCM today. They delivered 6 2016's today. Great experience. They offered to let 2 of us take a couple of laps around the race track which we did. I know you want to see pics, but we are headed to the Homecoming right now. The forward cameras work great as does the rear hatch auto pull down. Haven't got a chance to mess with car play yet but the touch screen is very responsive like your iPhone. When I get back tonite I will try and answer any questions you have. Oh, the red stitching is really cool. Also for you A8 overheating guys, during the factory tour our guide pointed out the larger fan on the cooler they are installing on the 2016's Z06's vs. the size they were putting on which was the same as the Z51.

Wow, laps! I will have to ask Shane if I can do that when I do my R8C!!!

First of all congratulations!

Second, are you saying the touch screen felt capacitive? If you aren't certain, capacitive would respond to any touch, no finger pressure required. This is one of the remaining 2016 mysteries.

Thank you. I have posted this so many times on this forum alone (and others) that I had decided no one had noticed.

I just sent email to my dealer to see if mine has moved off of 4B00. I suspect they could replace my chrome bar without ever needing to start the car. I just checked again and just get an error code that it can't find the vehicle. My airplane tickets are starting to skyrocket. I'm hoping tomorrow I will get 4200 and then I will just book for 7/27. There isn't really any logical way that it could be 4200 and not be able to pick it up for R8C by 7/27.

Based on the amount of posts and that Dave @ Kerbeck says that he has a truck full of EYT's that will land by Friday, makes me feel pretty good that we will both see our cars where we want to see them by EOW!

There are guys posting with their car made easily two days after mine and they show 4200 already. So, they have to catch up to ours, unless we jinxed our cars by checking on OnStar -- maybe your sounded the horn and lights on yours and they are keeping yours in sick bay!
Have you called Shane? I got my Z today and 5 others also were delivered. The area where the prep the cars for delivery is full and they are servicing 2 at a time. As soon as mine was pulled out they filled the empty spot. Your car may be at NCM.

I did the factory tour today as part of my NCM delivery. I can tell you this there are condom covered Corvettes all over the place. That parking lot where your car is located is completely full of new Vettes and that is not the only ones I saw. There are large groups with chain link fence around them even in front of the plant. There were no trucks at the lot you referenced when we went in at 8:00 this morning, however, when we left 2 hrs. later there were several transport trailers parked there with a couple tractors. Looks like those cars will be shipping real soon. On my drive from Nashville at noon yesterday I saw 3 transports fully loaded headed south. I have seen several today including an hour ago at the Waffle House by my hotel.

My guide told that at least part of the holdup was because of the chrome bar delete screw up. That they couldn't release any cars until they were sure that got fixed.

Believe me guys, there are new cars all over their 25 acres which is why OnStar showed mine at the power station. Cars are moving out pretty fast. If yours has a shipped code it will be leaving pretty quickly.

Wow! how things change in a couple of weeks of being at the factory! Impressive! I guess making 170 cars a day and not having a release valve results in what you were describing. FWIW, Doc's EYT was released and is on the truck to his dealer. His dealer also has invoicing for that car. So, it appears that the hold on EYT's is off, even though mine is yet to be released.

It appears as if the EYT invoice hold is off. It looks like there are still cars waiting for rework. Hopefully they get the balance done this week.

I just went out & touched it with different items. It responded with very light pressure and to everything I touched it with. Secondly it reacts much quicker than my '14 C7. The same with the nav. it calculates much quicker. I'm lovin' this car. Drove it around BG a little this evening and it gets the looks and thumbs like my Stingray did when I first got it a year ago. A TR Z06 just stands out. It was an obvious attraction amongst the cars on display at NCM. Every time my son or I went near the car we had people approach us with questions and telling us how much they liked the red Corvette.

Sorry to beat a dead horse, but.... would you say it would respond if you touched the screen but applied no pressure?

Also have you tried CarPlay?

Yes, responds to just touching it. I have not had a chance to play with car play yet. They showed me the screen and offered some explanation but it's all new to them too.

I have EYT and has yet to be released also. I'm #494, what build number is yours?

A good test to see if it's truly capacitive would be to put on gloves or put some sort of non-conductive material over your fingertip and attempt to use the touchscreen. If it responds normally then it's still resistive. If it doesn't respond or behaves erratically it's capacitive.

#776. I can't remember what Doc's VIN was, but he had EYT and it is on the truck. I think it was a lower # than both of ours. I don't know what #'s the MacMulkin shipment was for a dealer order. Must have been lower.

LMK when yours gets to 4200. At least then I will know it is getting closer for me if they are going in VIN# order.
