It's kind of a rule to only buy a car you can actually store at your home
Hey sanantguy, totally agree. But after driving the C7 last year I figured it would be worth modifying the driveway to get the vette to my home storage aka garage. Hey the city agreed with me that the curb was too high and will fix it own their nickel. I hate those ramps and so do the neighbors so I make sure to remove them after each use.
Congrats Doc! Looks like I'm the lone EYT'er that hasn't had any movement. Any word on if you car has been invoiced?
Nope, I'm in the same boat you are. Vin #179. Still sitting in the BG parking lot, waiting for transport to Texas. I think there are a couple other guys who are still waiting. Boiler_81 is one I can think of.
Correct, I am still waiting. I suspect there are still a number of cars which have not yet been reworked. I would suspect they are motivated to get them reworked ASAP. I assume it is a supply issue, keeping the line running with the correct parts is first priority. However, every plant I have ever worked with wants to clear out the lot as soon as they can. They do not like cars aging in the lot. There is always the potential for damage as they sit.

I just got an update from Chevrolet customer assistance in reference to my 2016 Corvette. They're still saying that my car is available for transport and waiting for a truck. That's pretty funny because it was delivered to my dealer last Friday and I picked it up this Tuesday. And you guys think they're only a day behind?
You are not the first to have your order parked in your driveway and the computer showing at the plant. And not just Corvettes.
It is a minimum of a day behind not just a day behind.
It seems the 24 hour suspension on checking on-star GPS resets at midnight EST. My car is sitting in a parking lot near a hotel/McDonalds/Red Lobster a few hours away from Toledo.
Looks like Shane is right about the invoice being delayed because of EYT. LMK when you get your invoice as that will unblock me. I just bought my ticket out on Friday 7/24. Shane told me I could do 7/25 delivery as long as I am willing to not do the factory tour. After doing the buyer's tour I don't know why I would do the R8C tour...
Ticket prices have been skyrocketing the last couple of days so I am just pulling the trigger for two seats.
I can't imagine that the car won't be ready for pickup next Saturday. Not with everyone getting their EYT's. I would still push on Shane to take delivery of the car and have it prepped and then all he needs is MacMulkin to get the invoice. It can't be that difficult to figure out adding another $25 to the EYT option for the "labor" of removing a chrome bar.
As of an hour ago, MacMulkin hasn't seen a single EYT invoice. See my WTF is my 2016 thread

My car is moving! Yes! Just inside the Tennessee border heading down I-65. (Still at status 4B00 by the way)
Commercial Truck drivers have strict laws regarding log books so its very possible the driver was taking his necessary 34 hour rest to reset the log books.
