He's a vote to add it back in. I have on order a 1LT Z51 w/PDR and would like to have it based on the inconvenience of getting that data via the PDR. No VIN as car is scheduled for build week of 10/6
I haven't tried it yet, but can't we use the lap timer for the same functionality? I know there's some lag and user error possible there, but at least its a workaround?

I won't. How do you shift and hold on to the steering wheel and then push the button to start the timer and then know when to exactly hit the stop button? I would never has an accurate reading and I like to know to a 10th of a second how fast I can get to 0-60.
I wish my new 2016 had the timer. I do have the PDR, but like was said earlier, it is not instant information and takes many more steps to get to it.
I will contact GM and let them know I can't figure it out, even though I have followed the manual exactly!
During my chat session, I was told the Performance Timer is only on the 3LT...
"I understand what you are seeking. Your vehicle does not come equipped with the 0-60 timer. The 2016 Corvette that comes equipped is the 3LT, your vehicle is a 2LT."
Yeah, I have a Z51 3LT M7. Out of curiosity, does anyone have a 3LT A8 that can verify they don't have it? I guess I need to get on the chat and see if I can get a reference number for it. You know it's an easy SW update and it's back. Honestly I suspect it is something the lawyers mandated at the last minute with safety concerns or something. It's make no sense why GM would go to the cost and effort to add code to remove functionality or remove the code entirely and then go through a test pass to make sure something else wasn't broke and then still show in the manual that the feature is still there.
They just wanted it gone, I agree with Kevin, it took effort to write it out of the code. It's not like the deletion of the second sd card slot. I wish they'd write it back in.
Probably had too many blown eLSDs from people trying to break a 0-60 record. Or someone sued them after crashing their car while trying to get the best 0-60 time.
Sound like GM needs to remove all the performance and track options (like the Z51) and just make a base car. I thought the design of the car was for road, or a weekend track or full time track car. We use the timer for track use only. GM put the function back please inform us of the timeline to fix this issue.
Thank You!!!!!
Here a go-by for your information.

I have a 2016 Stingray 3LT with all options available except Z51.
I can not come up with the 0 to ??? screen, elapsed time is this feature available on the Stingray or only available on the Z06
Thank You

It was removed in 2016. Sucks... you have to use the PDR to see 0-60 and 1/4 mile.
This manual describes features that
may or may not be on the vehicle
because of optional equipment that
was not purchased on the vehicle,
model variants, country
specifications, features/applications
that may not be available in your
region, or changes subsequent to
the printing of this owner manual.
This option is back for the newer built 2016 models, I know the Z06 now has it mine does Not as I was an early build Z06. Hopefully just a quick download?
