Great news! I have been working with my dealer and GM to add it back since I took delivery in August and they said they finally have an update but I won't be able to get it till spring since my car is in hibernation.

I bought it fresh off the truck in the middle of December, so it was probably built in November-December time frame.

My local dealer are idiots, But they say they have no idea??? I am on the phone with GM right now trying to get it resolved. Do you have a case number or recall number? What is the update? can you get it or a update name or number? Been on hold with GM for like 20 minutes and can barely understand his language? lol.. The dealer I bought from is great I am trying to save a 2hr drive.

Unfortunately no. The service manager just told me as he was the one working with GM tech. Hopefully you get them to try an update. If not I can post details in the spring once I get mine.

Thanks for letting us know. My car is also in hibernation until spring. Did they give you any indication as to why the feature was removed and then brought back?

If anyone else with an early '16 is able to successfully have the update installed, please post back with details!

I have NO timers that actually function, I have all the readings on the Performance screen Just can not activate them, Now in the PDR everything works, I am just talking about the DIC screen.

I have a Z51 built in early November. I have the 0-60 timer, but no lap timer. Ironically, a buddy just brought over his new Z06 C7.R. We checked and it has the 0-60, but no lap timer.

Just an FYI.

That's strange -- I'm wondering how we get it enabled. If you could provide a screen grab of it being enabled with your VIN#, then I could take it to my dealer and have some proof that it is added back in with some FW upgrade.

Thanks for the heads up!

I am still working on how to get the dealer to enable it? The new 16s on the Dealers lot has it but mine does NOT? Hopefully GM gets the word out soon, I contacted GM today but the girl on the other end of the Line was not very helpful? Who is our GM rep on this forum?

Already replied to a similar thread running, but again...

My '16 Z51, built in early November, has the 0-60 timer. It does not have the lap timer, which apparently earlier C7's had.

Today, looked at my friends '16 Z06 C7.R, built in mid December. Likewise, he has the 0-60 timer, but no lap timer. Of course both available with the PDR.

So, following both threads, appears the timers were deleted for early 2016's, but apparently the 0-60 timer was resurrected for later 2016 builds??

Trying to follow both threads, I'm still confused, but I have the 0-60 timer.

I have the Performance timer on my 2016, which was built 1st week of December. To see any of the other timers (0-100, 1/4 mile or lap timer), I have to go into the PDR.

Any ideas how to get to it to show up as an option under the performance menu? Did they take it off for 2016's?

Below is his:

Mine never will show that on the scroll, it skips the highlighted two options below. Manual says it should. The term "performance timer" only shows up on p.100 also.

My 2016 Z51, no PDR, was picked up at the end of Sept. 2015. It has the performance timer, and I have used it. If in fact they stopped installing it, it must have been after that date. Anyone else who picked up before that date have it? How about after that date?

I do not have the option to get to those timers? My Z06 was built in August 2015?

I believe that we will need a TSB to go to a dealer with that tells them what SW/FW update we need on our early '16's to get this feature back. So, we need someone to go into the dealer and see if we can extract. This thread will go a long way to accomplishing that so thanks for those that posted the pictures. I will take mine in when I get my oil changed to get the update.

My Z51 w/PDR was built 9/11 and I don't have either timer either. I haven't gone into the PDR menu to see what's there though. I don't have plans for a dealer visit for a while, my oil life is 60%. I'm working on it today, I'll explore the PDR menu too.

I'm putting the car in service mode, not starting it. I'm just assuming that actually having it running shouldn't make a difference.
