I thought we all bought corvettes because we're small.

Default The hood, tail-lights, wheels, badging??

You can say just about anything is "pretty much" the same. A Mustang GT is pretty much the same as a GT500... Cadillac ATS or CTS is pretty much the same as a ATS-V or CTS-V, etc.

Not bashing the Stingray or GS, both are great cars, but until they're generating OEM 650/650... w/the similar performance specs like 0-60, then they are not pretty much the same.

Same will apply to the ZR1... IMO of course
You're really missing the point. The G's, Figure "8", 60-0, etc., performance of a Z06/7 and a GS/Z07 are the same. Yes due to the SC the Z06/7 is quicker, hence my "pretty much" reply.

C'mon a Mustang GT is pretty much a GT500? Yeah it's a Mustang and it "pretty much" ends there...

I had a Mustang GT and a couple GT500s. They're not "pretty much" the same, which is why I used it as an example. You really have no point to miss. I guess we'll pretty much agree to disagree.

Was that supposed to be a race? Neither of them even seemed to get on the gas or be alongside each other before they did finally hit the gas.

I have a base 1LT A8 magride conv, I originally was set to order a zo6. I like the lightness of the base car .Contemplated selling and buying a zo6, I also feel the need for 500-550 horsies but with the base cars weight. So I decided to keep it, put it on a diet, think I can shed about 100lbs from it. Do a cam swap, headers, v4 delete, and tune. Should make for an entertaining ride!

Congrats. Based on Onstar tracking I think my 18 Z was on the truck yours was on, but it continued east. If things go as planned I should be rolling it through your town in a couple weeks. Should I get my oil changed at Van Bortel?

Thanks! And Congrats to you too! Yes Van Bortels would be a great dealership to get your first oil change done. What VIN is your's? Mine is 100 here are a few pics of the new '18 shipment. Could one of them yours?

long time multi corvette owner with a big shop and currently have 7 corvettes/all except the new z06 modified/1000 hp c6 t turbo car/can't use the power/cr1 415 lt5 lingenfelter/600hp/just motor/etc/bought the new z06 because my wife wanted something to take on trips/did spring mountain with a z06 fun/wish I had saved the money and bought a stingray as it is a better highway car/z06 follows all the ruts and lots of tire noise//I guess it's all what you intend to use the car for/also hate the rocks the front tires throw, and no aftermarket replacement for the stupid plastic attached to the front fender that dies 2/3rd the way back/after spending 5,000 dollars in wrapping and acs replacement mud flaps it still gets chips and I only have 2000 miles on it

I started tracking mine on Tuesday and it was near Syracuse. So I'm thinking it is on that truck. Yeah you can't pass up that car with vin 100. Mine is 281.

By the VIN's they were built a day or two apart. VIN 100 was a definite added enticement.
