Interesting to see that I don’t see one vert here with the other spoiler that is offered from GM which is that open wing style. It all seems to be the Z51style or the higher GS or Z06 spoilers. I would love to see some pics of that wing style spoiler on a vert with the two ends of it open. I can’t recall what it’s called.

I don't remember where I got these. So I can't give the owners credit. I hope this helps.

That is my favorite spoiler of all and the one I think I will install on mine. I like that you can still see the shoulders on the car , though I do like the Z51 also. I am looking for a set of those black machine face wheels on this car also as I think they are the best looking wheels of all to me.

Haven't posted in a long time as I traded in my 2011 C6 coupe for a much needed truck....now am buying a C7 Vert manual z51 3lt with 17k miles. 1st time vert and need opinions. Finance offered a GM warranty for 6 years 75k miles bumper to bumper but its actually all electrical/mechanical, what I'm really concerned about is the dash peel/bubble I've been reading about which isn't covered. They also offered 5 yr maintenance for $400 but its only oil and filters, however that seems decent since last oil change I had was $95 in my old vet. What about noise with the vert vs coupe, is there a significant difference? Does the Kalahari darken as I've read to an almost black in spots more so in a vert? Any instances of the top getting stuck like the C6 had either opening or closing? I'm doing a fly and buy and usually meticulous on inspecting but anything in particular I need to look for on the vert? Thanks in advance.

I have only had mine for a few months but the top is great and the car sounds like a beast top down. I would highly recommend the warranty they offered but that's me.

I did some checking around and the warranty quote was better than the local chevy guys can offer. I also had the vin checked and the only concerning item noted was brake pad replacement at 8000 miles. Thank you for your input, feel better about buying a vert vs coupe. Think I'll run a hose over it, before I sign on the dotted line just in case.

Only had my 14' for a couple months and a couple thousand miles (8800 total on the car now) but the previous owner had no issues with the top at all. In fact the car has needed no repairs just routine maintenance and a few recalls that were completed by the dealer. Mine is a 3LT so while I understand the concern about the leather on the dash this would have been my only argument for possibly getting an extended warranty but as you have stated, its not covered anyway.
I think extended warranty or not is a personal preference and based on individual situations and specifically an ability to accept risk. While I have purchased them in the past for daily drivers I have passed on them for any of my toys for the primary reason being they sit for a majority of the time. Also, I have so many toys now that I simply added up all of the additional extended warranty expense and can finance quite a few repairs, even major repairs, at this point. Perhaps you intend to daily drive your Vette and just want the peace of mind. Mine is already in storage for the season and will be waiting for warm weather and dry roads before I even start it again. As you can see, an extended warranty for me just does not make a ton of sense.

Warranties are like insurance, personal preference for sure. This is one of the few toys I own and plan on using it a lot so for me it makes sense. What is important is that he gets the Vert!

No its not and several people have complained about the noise from the coupe w top off, only sounds of beauty from the vette rag top

- Folks will never really take the targa top off if they are just heading for a 20 min ride to the store, etc. only to put it back on when they get there. The reality is you won't really use the targa top that often on the coupe, even if you can remove and replace it on your own, which makes it a waste at that point. I would rather just have a fixed roof instead to increase rigidity even more and eliminate any rattles from the targa.
- Aside from the convenience of the power top, there is no comparison to the open air feeling you get in the vert vs. the coupe with the top off. The wind buffeting in the coupe is pretty strong but that is not the case in the vert. I drive 75 mph in the vert and it is fine.
- A surprising side benefit is that the vert is also quieter than the coupe when both have the tops up. You wouldn't expect this but is it noticeably quieter because the rear bulkhead/waterfall area reduces rear tire noise and the vert top is heavily lined and padded to as well.
- Lastly, the sound of the NPP exhaust with the top down as I row through the gears is worth the $4k increase in price alone.
If you can appreciate top down driving where you live, then the C7 vert is the one to get. It adds a whole other level of enjoyment to an already great Corvette.

Thanks for your responses, unfortunately I bowed out, asked a local club to eyeball it for me, his comment was "well its been driven" and that it needed cleaning up, engine bay was bad etc. still looking...
