Convertible Sub Section
Camaro won't let you put the top down in cold weather.
My 2015 convertible top has started a very annoying creaking noise directly above my head when the top is up.
The 3 year bumper-to-bumper warranty is over. I have the GM Protection Protection Plan warranty (with $100 deductible), but I'm not sure if covers items like this since "convertible top assemblies" are listed as an "Exclusion".
In doing some research, it appears that this could be the fix:
Service Bulletin (#17-NA-278 dated 8/29/17), which describes that some of the screws on the 3rd bow may have lost their torque and are to be replaced with larger screws.
Have any of you done this yourself? The part is $6/screw at my dealership x 6 screw. They said it would be about $90 in labor. I tried looking for the screws, but the access is a bit limited- even with the top lowered half-way

A few other posts on this forum have other suggestions (but they aren't exactly super descriptive)
amgman: "I sprayed a small amount of silicone lube on the top supports where they join at the base"
NASTYC7: "Just put 5/16 heat shrink tubing on post's and it stopped"
Thanks for any suggestions!
