Just a word of warning. If you do get the offer for a new top, remember the dealer will probably send the car out to an upholstery shop that they contract for that kind of work. On my first C6 the liner ripped, the dealer sent it out, and the shop replaced the entire top. But, when they installed the top they must have lost control of the frame, and ht the tonneau cover leaving a gouge on both sides. Needless to say I wasn't happy at all. So, you may want to check by the shop just so they understand you're watching them.

Those are pretty bad my friend. Just thinking out loud here, and I've never tried this. But, do you think a little steam would ease those wrinkles. Something like those small steamers that are used on cloths. Or, maybe using some soap, and hot water to clean the cloth, dry it down a bit, then let it sit in the sun to dry. Like me I'm sure you would rather try something before you commit to removing the entire top. Good luck.
Moreso with the C6 I had previously, the wrinkles and creases were an annoyance. I had good results with scrubbing the top with a soft bristle brush and Dawn dish soap, followed by cleaning and protecting with 303 products.
I didn't try the steamer option but have one and seems like a great option IF the top is clean per above, before applying any type of waterproofing.
Thanks for this post on wrinkled tops as I'm about to pull the trigger on a 14 3LT Vert and never even thought to look for this. However, it does have some dash delamination or "pull out " from the dash vent not the Kalahari on the dash but the black leather closest to the windshield and need to get your opinions. It only has 16k miles and a little seat wear at the left drivers hip and front tag scratch on bumper but all in all seems in decent shape for a 6 year old 1 owner. Its out of town so my son eyeballed it with an eagle eye I would of missed some items. Regardless the used car dealer came off the price $2k when my son pointed out the dash from 39900 to 37900. Any thoughts?

The dash on 3lt is a known problem. The seats are also a known issue with the bolster area. Not just corvette but a design mostly with sports-cars.
If more detailed discussion on a particular issue is needed?Simply search.Plenty of threads to choose from.

Sounds like a fair deal to me. There's a 2014 3LT Vert in my town w/25K miles priced at $44,900. There are some threads on the forum speaking to the leather delam with the 3LT's. I would think if it's not bad a good upholstery shop could handle the problem easily. Also, wrinkles on a convertible top are the nature of the beast. There isn't any way to avoid them if you use the top. The ones on "Dale#3;s" Vert is out of the normal range as I haven't seen one do like his has. So, if there are wrinkles on the top of the one you are looking at don't let that be a deal breaker if you really like the car. A 2014 C7 has a proven record of reliability. We have several members here with close to, and over 100K miles on theirs with nothing but the usual maintenance needed. Good luck, and welcome to the forum. Post some pics here if you make the deal.

It looks like your top has spent a lot of time tucked away. I was told at the factory during one of my builds that the top should always be cycled and not left down when parked, not even over night. If you wet or steam the top those wrinkles/creases should relax...best if you can dry it in the sun.
Regarding top wrinkles... don't leave the top down overnight. Store the top up so it stays stretched. My mother would leave her C5s top down almost constantly... developed wrinkels that would never release. You can wash it and scrub it with a soft bristle brush and then blow dry and they will minimize, but never fully go away.

[QUOTE=CAB6;1598878672]Here are mine in ownership order [OUOTE]
Bequtiful verts Cab. I do like the first one. My '72 was quite fun to drive, but it just wasn't practicable for any type of longer road trip. So, after 6 years of owning it we decided to sell, and get one we could jump in and take off anywhere we wanted. Luckily I found a guy that wanted a project for him, and his son. We made a deal that we both walked away being happy about. Those are the kind of deal I like.
I am going to look at this 14' Vette convertible Monday at a local Chevy dealer. Asking price is $38.9k with 20k on the odometer and automatic . Hoping to get it for $35k. Any thing in particular I should be concerned about being a first year car?
