It seems like just about every car built in CY 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016 is getting this notification. So far I have yet to see a CY 2017 build be notified.

Well I got my letter today for my 2017 Grand Sport Collectors edition Convertible #28. To say I am very disappointed in GM is an understatement.
I had a similar letter for my 2008 Z06. You would think that in 9 years, they could fix a problem like this. My thought is that GM did not want to redesign this flaw or get a better vendor for the unit that goes in the plastic gas tank. They most likely thought to fix it was more expensive then just to repair the ones that do end up leaking.
I have been a Corvette owner since 1977 and this will be my last one.
I don't know about the rest of you, but why should I have to be concerned as a customer buying a $104K vehicle that I might have a gas tank leak, when they have known about this issue for over 13 years. It started in 2005 and what have they done to correct it, SEND ME ANOTHER LETTER.
Guess I can stop wondering now. Got my letter today. Guess I'll be on the lookout for gas on garage floor and/or the smell of gas fumes in the garage.
Great.
Anybody know if this is a problem that develops over time or did they leave the factory with bad connections?
I wouldn't worry about it. I had five C6's, all which probably had the potential issue, and never had a problem. The thing is, I never knew about it at the time of ownership. I never received a letter about any of those cars so ingnorance is bliss, I guess.
So...a lot has happened since I posted. Interesting bit of news we have here.

But I might have missed someone so I can't be 100% sure.

So far, it appears that every C7 produced before somewhere in mid-2017 MY has the “coverage program”.
So, no, not EVERY C7. Apparently just every C7 produced before some date during the 2017 MY.
I haven't read through all of the posts, but it would be nice if we were able to pinpoint exactly when Chevy knew about the issue and was able to rectify it on subsequent builds. By the quotes above, the speculation sounds about right: Late 2017 MY, probably the last 4-5 months from build date indicates a safe zone.
For whatever it's worth, I have a late 2017 Grand Sport model, probably built around mid-to-late March after placing my order on February 24th, 2017. Went online and I don't have the "special" warranty, nor did I get a letter.
Also note that the last production date for the 2017 model year was June 2nd, 2017 with a final order allocation date of April 13th.
Yea, we all and thousands of others have the coverage, and how many have actually encountered the issue... 3-4 here, and maybe a handful of others we don't know about?
If this was as serious as everyone's making it out to be, it would be issued as a TSB, and performed when the car was brought in for ANY type of service..

Interesting that you never got a letter for your C6's but very encouraging to hear you had no issues after five C6's!
I found out about the fuel fitting leak on C6's right after I bought mine used. I had myself convinced I was smelling gas
but eventually realized I was smelling *engine* since the 6.2L was twice the size of anything that had been in my garage.
The smell would disappear once the car cooled

I don't know how any of this could be anything other than speculation on what years are included. If the problem began with late C5's and continued with C6's and now C7's I will bet that nothing has changed and all C7's will be included when the paperwork catches up with production. It would be nice to know if the vendor changed after the '16 model year and that the issue was resolved but I'm betting not.

I kinda agree with you, but by that logic, they could've sent an electronic directive to ensure that all of the C7 owners have the warranty provisions available on their apps and my.chevrolet.com/login. This will always be faster than mailing letters unless they have a time stamp protocol in place.
For example, if it's a database change, it shouldn't take that long (or rather "this" long) to activate all registered accounts regardless of year. The company should have a development environment to test it, place it on QA and post the changes live. That process at most typically takes between 2-3 weeks, and I'm really, really stretching the time frame.
I'm figuring if the late 2017-ers don't receive anything by the end of July, odds are in our favor (but not guaranteed) that a change did in fact occur and the situation was rectified either on purpose or inadvertently. This warranty has been mentioned as far back as mid-April, but has only escalated in the past few days. Hopefully another two months will be enough time to cross their t's and dot their i's before officially sending off their directive to those wave of customers.
Until then, the only "letter" I recently received was my car note.

No letters, but I did check my 2010 GS on the GM website (I no longer own the car) and sure enough the warranty is there for the gas tank issue.
