^^^I think you are correct. I was researching the parts for that particular set of components a while back out of curiosity and found that they were the same parts in all the models and was wondering why the 18 and 19 models were not included.

IIRC the C6 letter first went to 2008 owners but eventually to all C6 owners
my service adviser said that the letters usually encompass the year models or range of VINs of cars that reported the issue. So if the earliest was a 2015 vin xxx101 and the latest was 2017 vin xxx234 then they start with everyone in between for the initial letters. Like mentioned, once those are done, I would imagine that they extend to everyone else that has the same parts installed.
Actualli I have my 17 GS at the dealership and they are having to replace the module. Every time I have more than a quarter tank of gas in my car, the fuel smell is very strong. With a full tank it is the worst and sitting in the garage just makes me worry a bit. I am glad that my dealership service guys found the issue right away. There is great info in this thread as well. Just wanted to share.
I just bought a 2017 with a build date January 2017.
The day after I brought it home I noticed the garage smelled strongly of gas the next morning, and was not sure of the cause.
Then for several days the odor was gone.
A few nights ago, with the car outside my friends noticed a gasoline smell wafting in the breeze. We determined it was coming from my car.
This morning I woke up and the garage again smelled strongly of gas. It is clearly coming from the driver's side fuel tank area of the Corvette. There are no drips on the ground however.
I've logged into chevrolet.com and my car does NOT show special warranty 17469.
Has anyone had to deal with this? I'll call tomorrow, but does anyone know if there is any expectation that they will cover this repair?
I'm curious if they have since fixed the issue. I have a 2019 and I don't have the special warranty either.
They havent fixed it because my 2019 GS was built in September of 19 and i had the issue come up last year. My car was at the dealer's for 6 weeks. 5 of those weeks was waiting on the part. When i got the car back the interior was filled with shop dust and even cobwebs! To top it off they also scratched the hell out of my back bumper. Frustrating to say the least.

I put the car up on my lift and the driver's side tank is clearly leaking. Fuel residue is visible at the edges of the plastic tank at the shield plate. I have an appointment at my local dealer Wednesday.
Who can I call proactively to ask about getting the extended warranty coverage? It appears the coverage was extended to cars built through December 2016 and my car has a January 2017 build date.
I would start with the local Chevy dealership and explain them the issue and show them the TSB. No reason why they would deny the coverage.
My car does not have the extended coverage applied, it was built in January 2017 and the extended coverage only applies to car built to December 2016.
I have reached out to GM corporate proactively in an attempt to get it covered and they told me the coverage will not apply to my vehicle to cover repair costs but it "may or may not be possible" for GM to cover part or all the repairs as an act of good faith.

GM strikes again, my first question would be why isn't mine covered? Second, did you fix the defect that required older models to get a special warranty? If they didn't change the design, hell even if they did for the life of me I don't know why they would just suddenly stop covering the defect for newer model years. I love my Vette but I would never buy another GM product they just don't stand behind their products.

I think the emissions warranty covers some parts of the fuel system, not sure if that might help you.
My 2016 suffered this issue back in 2018. It was a real shock when I saw how much had to be removed to complete the repair. It is not a small job. Good luck to all and I hope your car does not have this problem.

Supposed to drop the tanks and trans from what i heard. My dealer has a female vette mechanic that found another way. She pulled the back bumper cover and was small enough to reach in and do the replacement from behind. Dont ask me how but she did it and in much less time than the other way. That was last year and no gas smell since.
Even without the additional coverage discussed above applied to my car the dealer is covering the repair. I'm not sure under what portion of my existing warranties it is covered, but I'll take it!
