Folks
Forgot to ask that when i test drove the 7MT felt slight vibration in the shifter , is that normal considering car is low?
Big favor -- i know measurements are in website but not sure they are accurate and reliable , can someone please measure the width ( with and without mirrors) and length on the stingray base car. My garage is tight and want to ensure it fits fine.
Thanks
I have a standard two car garage with 8 ft wide doors. She fits fine with a few inches on each side going in. Need more info on the on the shifter. Mine vibrates in neutral a bit but is normal when driving.

I have 2 car garage with door for each one, hate that design, wish i had a single door for 2 car garage
Assuming you have the same can you pull into the garage without folding mirrors , i believe there is no button to power fold the mirrors from inside the car?
Do not remember whether i felt the vibration during shifting or only in neutral, in neutral all cars vibrate but i must have felt it during shifting.
I drive mine as much as possible...cold, warm, rain, dry. The only thing I avoid is snow and about a week after it snowed so the rain can wash off all the salt.
I DD mine, I have two sets of rims. My summer tires on my Z51 black rims and Pirelli Sotto zero winter tires (non ZP) on a base set of 18/19's. I had to make sure the wheel weights on the fronts didn't come in contact with brake pads.
Vettes were my DD's from 2004 until I retired from teaching this last year. Granted it was a short nine miles each way on relatively flat surfaces. And
the few days when the weather was freezing/below (like it will be tomorrow night when we get hit with 6 inches plus of snow!) my lovely bride would drive
me to school in our "take all comers" '13 Prius.
I DD a manual Z51 3LT coupe. Nice weather and less traffic make this a dream. It is kinda rough over bumps even in touring mode, but I haven't paid for the magride update.
Some tips: get a cargo net for the back and wrap the front bumper ASAP.

Booked the car today, 7MT Shadow gray metallic with adrenaline red interior stingray 2LT , pretty excited now
More questions
1. Can i track the car ordering process
2. Does the rear and front cameras have sensors , i mean do they beep when close to object
3. Ordered standard silver wheels but really like the wheels that come with grand sports, do they fit the base stingray?

Congrats
No the GS wheels are too wide for the base car. 12" vs 10" this is why the GS, Z06 and ZR1 are known as the "wide body" cars. The fenders stick out further to cover the larger wheels. Some vendors around here sell reproduction wheels so you can have the GS look in a Stingray wheel. Or just go aftermarket.

Looking forward to the next 6 weeks
1. You can track the build process if you do Museum delivery I believe. Try Owner Center to see if they added build updates: https://my.chevrolet.com/home
2. I don't think we have proximity sensors. What I did was add a shortcut to the front cameras when I pull up to a curb so you don't scratch anything
By the way, what made you go from the M3 to the Stingray?
Genuinely curious as I really want to try the M2 Competition because I want to see if it is more agile and fun as a daily.
(I know I'd miss the heads up display and adaptive dampers)

I have a 18 M3 competition package, love the M3 but want to try a sports car with V8 and that's where the Corvette came into the pic. Have been driving sports sedan quite a while but never owned a sports car. When I drove the vette loved the seating position, road feel , exhaust and suspension of the vette that made me go for it.
The M3 comp is great but not a sports car. Suspension is very firm for daily driving and the competition package has streamlined the power delivery meaning less torque at low rpms and above 4k lots of power. I liked my old M3 better it had more raw power.
The vette would be a completely different car and hope I enjoy it with top up and down. Have been wanting to drive a convertible as well , it serves dual purpose.
