All good things to those who wait. Or so I've been told.

Here's hoping all goes well and you get your baby back in perfect condition!

Ken I wouldn't worry... beat the crap out of it and if it breaks you get a new crate engine on GM's dime. I had my 2001 Z06 re-ringed under warranty which is MAJOR surgery at a local dealer. Post re-ring the car used no oil (had been using a quart every 800 miles) and I beat the snot out of that car on track for years and put a big cam in it.

Glad you got it back 1 month that’s shorter than 6 weeks.
How is it running I had a glitch today went to pull out and nothing stop and retried it. It was okay wonder if my range device caused this??.
I like the no 4cyl operation it’s so much smoother.
You changing oil after 500 miles or sooner.

Haven't gotten it back yet but, barring any issues the tech discovers during his test drive(s), I should have it back in my grubby hands today.

As for the 500 mile change, good point. I'm going to press for that (under warranty of course).

SM called and said the tech reports that the car is running fine, all looks good and ready for pickup, right after they hand wash it for me (fine with me - I don't worry about swirls and scratches 'cause of the Xpel).

I'll pick it up in a few hours as soon as I can pull away from something I'm working on (being self-employed does have its advantages )

Yippee!!

About 50 miles on her and all feels good! Can't even tell the engine bay is different (even my catch can and M2W were put back in).

Ready for anything!

By the way...

Figure in the labor (GM spec'd the repair at 30 hours) and I'm sure glad it was under warranty!

Just got back from a little shakedown and all seems good! No leaks, no funny smells (although at only 2,500 miles, that new car smell is back in my garage!). We leave early Friday morning for a 3 day cruise.

Interestingly, I swear it has a more noticeable cam lope at idle than it had before and idle is a little rougher. For grins, I'll have to check with the tech to see if somehow the cam is different!
