I think you would agree that respect has to be EARNED - and when someone can't just simply say - "yes a higher optioned car is better than a less optioned car" - you lose respect because your being defensive - not honest. Notice I didn't say a higher optioned car is better for YOU.
How about this - here's a way to prove either side of this argument...why don't each of you call up your Vette dealership and ask them this general question: "What's better? A 3LT or a 1LT?" What do you think they would say? I know what my dealership would say...I know what every dealership would say...and so do you.
Oh and to answer your previous question Pat - yes I bought my 14 3LT used. It was more expensive than other used 2LTs and 1LTs (cause it was better). You really can't do the "more expensive" comparison with a new 1LT vs. a used 3LT because of course a new car is always going to be more expensive but it's certainly not better. FYI - that sort of proves my point even further - I got a BETTER car for LESS...how can anyone argue that...but new vs used is a totally different discussion (or arguement).
Holy ****, you can't even SPELL argument... lol. Yeah, keep on crushing it.
The only argument really left is if you suffered a head injury.....
I think you hit the nail on the "head" here. It appears that it may have been "crushed." You and many others are wasting your time trying to explain anything to Mayor111 with logic. I have frequented a lot of car forums over the years. I have yet to see another individual display his level of arrogance.

The only thing you crush is logic, lol. Prices do not automatically make something better, they just differentiate intelligent consumers from SUCKERS, because only a sucker would think a peeling dashboard is superior to one that doesn't. GM charges extra to put a sticker on your hood - some people don't like stickers (OPINIONS!), so to them, the added cost does not make the vette any better, in fact, in many cases they would feel it makes it WORSE (more OPINIONS!) The only argument really left is if you suffered a head injury or if your lack of argument is due to something else. If you want to have some therapy, research the difference between OPINIONS and FACTS. It's all about healing.
PS - I'm just clowning 'I spent 10k on a bunch of second-rate options' boy, I don't have anything against someone who wants a 2LT or 3LT - buy what you want, it's only money, but lets not act all high and mighty because you bought and extra speaker (bose speaker!) and a garage door opener...
Every response you make just proves my point even more. Im sorry you feel mediocracy is worth defending...I guess that something you've grown up with or have been taught (sad). Also, I might have misspelled argument - but at least I know that a 3LT has more than a speaker and a garage door opener. Maybe if you knew that...you might not defend your lack-luster car purchase...and you might understand that things that cost more usually mean they are better... See those are things intelligent individuals just know...water is wet, fire is hot, more expensive means better, 3LT is better and Kenny bleeds of mediocracy...it's just known.

Keep it up clown, you're incredibly entertaining. And you definitely misspelled argument, so thanks for that laugh. "Intelligent individuals" (and 5 year olds) know how to spell argument.
And finally, I clearly explained why more expensive does not always mean better, you're just too dim to understand a simple explanation. If GM adds stickers to a car, the car becomes more expensive, but it's not 'better' for all buyers, it's a matter of taste and opinion. You've made no counter-argument to that. But really, keep showing us how you are crushing it, lol.

Good boy - keep replying...good dog...
FYI - stickers aren't part of 3LT, 2LT or 1LT packages - that's why stickers dont make a car better...not sure why you keep bring that up... Option PACKAGES make a car better... Im sorry but you're right - there is no arguing with someone mediocre...that's why I dont argue with you...I just keep educating you...but some folks just don't learn when they have been weighed and measured...and came up flat... Go fetch!!

Option PACKAGES are a group of OPTIONS (notice the word before PACKAGES), like the OPTIONAL stickers GM offers. Still not seeing the connection brainiac? It's hilarious watching you struggle with simple concepts, but then you've already shown your 'superior intelligence' by not only failing to make a decent argument, but not even being able to spell the word (but definitely, please keep educating me...), lol.
Keep puffing out your chest because you've got seats that get slightly warmer or cooler and cameras that help you park because you have feeble driving skills... such a clown show.

Too bad you felt the need to resurrect this thread just to slander someone. I for one find many of his posts productive and applaud how he sometimes calls some here to task for the rhetoric they spew.

Like this guy's BS specifically, but I guess when someone can't win an argument they resort to baseless personal attacks, which I believe are against forum rules.

I agree! Kenny calls people out on their BS, and there is a lot of people spewing BS on this site lately!
There are reasons cars have options. Options are there so we as buyers can order a car that we want not what somebody else wants. Just because a car has a more expensive option pkg does not make that car a "better" car than the less expensive optioned car. Those who feel that way are very shallow minded.
When I was looking to buy my car from existing dealer inventory there were mostly automatic transmission Vettes available. I didn't want an auto and wouldn't own a Vette unless it had a manual. The auto cost a lot more than the M7 so does that make it a "better" car? I think not. Had the M7 cost more than the A8 I would have spent the extra money for the M7. Now would that have made the M7 a "better" car? absolutely not.
I ended up ordering my car with the M7 and the 1 lt option pkg. I felt the 2lt and 3lt option pkgs were a huge waste of money. I dislike factory GPS have zero use for heated seats since my car sits in the garage all Winter and I never cared for HUD on any of my Cadillacs. I did however miss the Home Link garage door opener so I spent a couple hundred bucks and installed it myself. My car is the "better" car for me and I could care less about more expensive options that I don't need or want.
I like the stinger stripe and side skirts along with the front splitter but there was no way I was paying what GM wanted for those options so I installed them myself for a fraction of the cost. Does that mean my car isn't as good as those with the ridiculously priced factory installed stripe and side effects? I think not.
I now own the Corvette I wanted and not an optioned car others wanted. The only way a higher optioned more expensive car is a "better" car is if the options are ones you want or have to have.
This is my "better" car and I'm sure there are many who will feel it's an inferior car to their higher optioned car and for them they are right.

Great post and this is exactly what I was trying to get across, but you sir, are more elegant than I... lol.
I wonder if anyone actually called their local Vette dealership and asked the question I posted weeks ago... Ask your dealership this exact question..."what's better? A 1LT, a 2LT or a 3LT?" Im still waiting to hear back your HONEST responses...
Kenny did you call your dealership and ask that question? Kevin? Pat? No? I didn't think so...cause we ALL know their answer...

Psst...THIS is how you win an argument...
I know more about Vettes than my local chevy dealer, but to play along here in your attempt to have your opinion validated by other people, an honest answer from a salesman would be something along the lines of who the potential buyer is and what they want. Comp seats, color optioned paint, calipers, stinger, etc on a 1LT are more desirable to some people than a no option 2LT. I have ordered 3 Grand Sports, and they all stickered for more than a 2LT base
The 1LT in my garage is better than the 2LT that used to be in your garage.

Of course a dealer is going to tell you the 3LT is 'better' because it makes them more money. You seriously can't understand this simple logic, lol?
I guess if a dealership slaps a sticker that says "the driver of this car is a dumbass' on the hood, calls it the 4LT package and charges an extra $5k for it, you're all in because it's 'better', right?
As I've said numerous times, I wouldn't take a 3LT package if it made the car less expensive for me to buy because of all the issues with the shrinking dash materials. That's definitely not 'better' to me. And shining an extra gauge on the windshield to add to the already 500 available gauges is something I'd never use so it's not 'better' to me. Etc, etc.
