Agree ,Can someone please post copy of Update TSB. I goggled TSB and number can’t find . I’m not having sutter problem , but if I can get fluid changed under warranty I would like too.
My girlfriend has a 2019 Stingray 1LT with the 8-spd automatic. I don't notice any "shudder" in her car at all. I plugged in the Range AFM device today, so it now stays in V8 mode all of the time. It has 1,500 miles on it. My car is a 2017 Stingray with the 7M, so it is not an issue for me.
Did GM fix the 'shudder' problem for the 2019 models? Did they use a different fluid for the transmission than earlier model years? Just curious.
Yes... but not all 19s have the new fluid.
The breakaway point was February 2019 builds.
New fluid came out in January 2019.
I have a 19 being built in a few weeks so I'm on this lol.
I just had the fluid flush done in my 16 other day. Just to do it so the next owner doesn't even have to think about any issues should they come up.
Some of these Corvette Plant people and engineers on the team are just aces...
18-NA-355 is it however it was updated on July 9, 2019 per the below, and unfortunately the wording of the update is a bit ambiguous.
18-NA-355 and 19-NA-121 have been updated effective July 9, 2019 to eliminate the diagnostics portion within the TSB's and the labor times have been updated to reflect the removal of the diagnostic procedures. Vehicles presented with suspected shudderwithin the published build dates should have the prescribed fluid exchange procedure performed. The fluid exchange procedure has been very effective at permanently eliminating Torque Converter Shudder.

The dealer I use will do the triple flush on any A8 Corvette simply if you ask them to do it. They way they talked, that's what the latest bulletin says.
We just put my girlfriend's Corvette away for the week - forgot to look at the build date tag on the door jamb. Doh!
I suppose that if she bought it in May that it was built after February 1st - since Criswell moves their cars pretty fast. If her car has the "old" A8 fluid, will any GM dealer refill it with the proper stuff. It only has 1,500 miles on it - so I suspect that any problems will take awhile to manifest themselves.
I am so glad that my 2017 has a manual transmission in it.

If her C7 doesn't shudder and you've got the Range devise installed you don't really need to worry about it. As far as your manual trans goes, you may change your mind if she ever challenges you to a race.
By the way, I'm in Hanover County as well.

I took mine in and they said it didn't have the shudder using I forget which meter. The tach jumping they said they couldn't duplicate. I call BS on that one. Anyway, they said it was noted in case of problems down the road. I run the Range all the time so I guess I will have to have them check it every time I take it in for something.
^^^
When did you take it in?
The revised bulletin that is supposed to allow "flush on demand" has been out less than a month.
And of course, some dealers are just dicks.
Class action law suite: April 25,2019: Corvette's affected-2015-2019 auto transmissions, Type: 8L45/8L90.
The lawsuit claims the issue's source is the torque converter, which may be exposed to undue friction. Eventually, the gears may not function properly as metal shavings move throughout the transmission, an alleged issue in the lawsuit.
*13 technical service bulletins, none have remedied the problem absolutely!
Many thanks,
Ray
Disclosures: Rayland's secondhand, 2/2016 base-model, 19,450K, original trans fill, has had NO auto transmission trouble!
See my post #26 above. I've seen a copy of the bulletin and the section about using the pico scope to analyze the vibration is gone.
The dealer tech confirmed that the new policy is to simply do the triple flush if the owner complains about shudder.

If your local dealer doesn't know about the latest bulletin and how to find it, strongly consider taking your business elsewhere.
If you want to be (too) nice and help them do their job, have them look up GM bulletin #18-NA-355 from July 2019.
