Haha that's pretty cool and funny at the same time, the other guy not knowing WTF is going on!
Guys here wave, I wave back most of the time. Sometimes I don't notice till it's too late,
C8's do not wave at all, I have the impression they think C7's are not worthy or something.
When a pedestrian gives me a thumbs up I wave back to acknowledge. I worked so damn hard to afford this and happy to have a little attention.
When a pedestrian is fixated on the car while I drive by I sometimes give it a rev. I'd like that very much if I were on the sidewalk.
I wave whenever I can to other Corvette owners, but I too have noticed a decrease in the number of other owners that wave. Who knows what the reason for not waving may be, but I’ll continue to do my part
I wave at all when I see them. If they don't wave back, I don't let it bother me. I figure some people just don't know the tradition. They bought a Corvette, and it's just a car to them. Others may be too occupied on their phone. Others may have their attention drawn to something else (traffic, music playing, passenger satisfying them, etc.) Whenever I get a return wave, I simply smile and drive on.
I always wave or flash my headlights. When someone waves or flashes back, it makes my day. If they don't…well, they have other things on their mind. The other day a C6 guy in a convert. took off his hat and waved like mad. I literally had a smile from ear lobe to ear lobe!
I live in snow bird land and have noticed less waving during the “season”. I can't figure that one out.
