One thing I wonder though, would it be wise to put a little Loctite on the two plate screws? I have heard of guys with modified/ported OEM throttle bodies sucking in screws that vibrated loose over the years.

A ported TB is one of those mods where it only becomes more beneficial as you flow more air!

No they're different, even down to the harness connection. They are both 87mm though.
