We are not a Radar or Vascar product. We are only a laser defense system and what we do we do extremely well. Take a few minutes if you want to learn about countermeasures to visit the countermeasure forums and you will see hundreds of saves posted by real individuals in their real cars with their cams recording the action as it happens.
So this is a detection system and in no way is a jamming system?
Of course any jamming in CA is illegal.
Looks good and the sensors connect via Bluetooth? That is great.
Should work with my Note4!
This is used to detect curbs as well?
Is it something I could install myself....live in an area with no special help for this stuff.
Bob you could do it yourself. I did my own. i didn't need extension cables for the rear sensors and I ran 2 sensors front and 2 rear. It's time consuming to do it right but if you're handy mechanically you won't have any problem. I got the hi-fi version with the speaker. I dont want to take a chance of a bluetooth problem, or a tablet or phone freezing, to cause my system to not warn me.
I installed a splitter before the brain to send the signal from either the supplied controller or the bluetooth controller. I researched it on the ALP forum. It is a $7 piece on Amazon and is just a mechanical switch. Press a rocker button for supplied controller or press the other rocker button to use BT.
Very simple in design but very slick in operation.
I had to run extensions from the rear due to the way I wanted the installation. I wanted the cables to run a certain way. The routing left the cable 2 feet short and that is when the extensions came in handy. Definitely not required, but recommended. You don't want to be caught a few feet short and have to re-route the cables. ALP gave me that advice.

Yeah I agree with getting the extensions because you don't want to need them and not have them. I ran the cables down the passenger side in the interior and ended up with a couple of feet of extra cable, at least, without using the extensions. It all depends on how the cables are routed.
Thanks Ben. I am FULLY SURPRISED your Z does not have all the goodies available on the market. You and Weapon X are usually on the forefront of anything and everything Corvette!
We all live vicariously through you and your cars!
I guess that is how the "other half" rolls!

haha well I just setup an account with AL and have a system on the way. I want to be like you Ron!
Ok - call me a newbie (which I am with it comes to Laser systems) but when I search for the AL Priority I am shown "the best multipurpose laser parking system". Is this for legal purposes or am I looking at the wrong thing?
Think I might need to get something like this - I feel at times this thing screams "pull me over"

Ben, I call B.S. on your statement about being like me! Thanks for the kind words! It makes us "lil' people" feel like we can ride like the Big Boys!
The WeaponX whips are definitely GORGEOUS! That blue/purple, or whatever custom color ZO6 you guys feature is ABSOLUTELY freakin' BOMB! Yeah, maybe not for everyone, but I love that thing.
Which car is the ALP going in to? Make sure to post pics when all is said and done!

It's a parking system until you download the new firmware then it's a laser defense/parking system. I installed it along with the sti-r plus radar detector head and it works great. I also got the hi-fi module and gps.

i should check into this what is the price range on the system
Big "D",
Not cheap by any means. It all depends on how many sensors you order and any of the "a la cart" add-ons you choose.
IMHO, money well spent! It is a curb alert system with all the other pluses!
I've had the Escort Passport SRX system and was blown away with the performance of that system in my C6. In fact, that was one of the selling points that sold my C6 within 24 hours of being advertised for sale. I was well on my way to purchasing Escort's 9500ci detection system until I came across ALP. I did my due diligence and researched the system along with Blinder, Laser Interceptor and Escort's ShifterPro system. I went with ALP!
We spent a ton of $$$ on our cars! I figured, why not get the best stuff for it too? Again, maybe not for all, but for me, it was a no-brainer. I am MORE than satisfied with the purchase. Compared to the other detectors and systems I've had, this is the best so far!

I just got the ALP for my new C7 and am looking for install instructions that are specific to the C7... not sure how to route the wires thru the firewall and where to connect power...

I went through on the passenger side. there's a molding that pops off in the corner of the hood area where it meets the door. You can pop that off and pull the rubber molding off that comes down from the a pillar and there's a hole that you can push the wires through that comes out under the passenger side dash. I put the module under the dash on the passenger side and then ran the wires to the rear sensors down the passenger side and back to the battery area. There's a plug behind and above that battery that you can remove and run the wires through and they will come out behind the rear fascia. The rear fascia needs to be removed if you put the alp heads on either side of the license plates. There's a thread on here that shows where I placed mine but I don't have a link right now. I'm getting mine tested this weekend so I'll try to remember to let you know how my installation works in the real world. We're testing it with 5 different guns so that should give me a good idea about how well it works with my installation.

This is how my installation was done. I went extra and installed the brain under the driver's side dash versus the passenger side. I mounted a control splitter to go between the supplied controller and blue tooth controller right behind the side mirror and HUD controls plate. Popping off the plate is pretty easy and I can press the rocker switch to go between the two different controllers. I mainly use the blue tooth controller, but I've switched to the regular controller when I forget my phone.
I love this ALP system. I am curious to see the results of badhabit's testing.
Did you put an additional 3 amp fuse inline to the controller from the fuse box? Radar Roy has a video where he uses one that plugs right into the fuse panel..
Also, removing the rear fascia for the rear transceiver install sounds like a pain ... is there an easier/quicker method?

Thanks again!
I actually pulled the power from the pop up accessory plug. It was convenient and close enough that I didn't have to run any extra wires. I ran the usb cord to the drivers side for easy access. I also bought the ethernet switch but decided to use the hifi module instead. I've occasionally had bluetooth issues and figured with my luck i'd end up getting a ticket because of a problem with my phone.
