Not the whole banking. He wasn't pulling at all before he lifted. The Porsche is undoubtedly much more slippery.
If he had the slightest clue what he was doing he would have passed him and stayed ahead easy. If you look around the 4:30 mark he was with the Porsche on the banking and inching towards him. Then he lifts and the Porsche shoots ahead. Just bad driving all around..

They went from 80-150+ with his foot flat on the floor, a couple of inches is not what you expect with a nearly 200 hp deficit. at 7:58 they go again and the guy is flat early and still doesn't catch up. In this case the cars are pretty much dead even from 80-150.

That could be due to the GT3 weighing 3150 lbs? I dunno, the vette had probably killed it's tires by then.
I think it was this track day with Bimmerfest 2015. Surprises me, BMW Club is one of the safest, strictest groups I've ever been out with. This must not be affiliated.
all i know is the vette was not able to pull him on the banking or the straights
TC kicking in on corner exits probably. Should pull hard on a GT3 otherwise.
This was a private sub group that was running with speedventues. SV is a good group that I've run with several times so it's disappointing to see there wasn't more control over this private sub group.
Wow what this guy said around the 8 minute mark alone should have got his *** off the track. Right then and there the instructor should have told him to exit the track. What a complete moron this guy is. If he turned off some nannies there would be an insurance claim during this video.
Apparently he doesn't understand yelling during a HPDE is like yelling in space, NOBODY CAN HEAR YOU. lol what a clown...(except us if you decide to put it on YouTube)
I never knew there were so many professional drivers on this forum...
You don't have to be professional to recognize horrible driving technique and ridiculous track manners. Not to mention just overall crazy levels of aggression.
