Yes, that's what I saw Pete Callaway post on their social media, as well. I shared that news, and the fact it's been delivered. I think it's exciting. Nice the owner let them show off their car at SEMA, too.

...But to some, they keep crapping on the idea Callaway has delivered Wonder their agenda, posting without basis?

That is my car. Pete Callaway called and asked if they could display my car at SEMA in the Mothers booth. He invited me to SEMA to see my car for the first time. The whole experience was amazing.

I'll post more later. I just got home from a long drive back from Las Vegas.

really looking forward to hearing more about the performance numbers from an owner. What is your all-in on this build? Any chance you'll be doing any 60-130 times w/dragy?

Once he tells you that he dropped $50K, he sure isn't going to report the 60-130 time in the 8s.

7LitreC5, congrats on finally getting her. How is the fit/finish and workmanship looking?

Sounds like an awesome experience and first class delivery, despite the small group of naysayers here.

Congrats on your delivery. Enjoy the drive home!!! And SEMA, of course

SEMA would be very cool to attend.

I don't think the guy who gets his car first and gets to attend SEMA is the right measuring stick for the "experience" lol... That's kind of in a class all it's own.

the naysayers won't really arrive until a few months from now when they have been waiting for 18months.

as for me, I'm just curious. It doesn't take a lot of brain cells to realize we ALLL made bad financial decisions by super charging our C8s whether it's Callaway or LPE or whomever. $40k+ for the performance isn't a good deal.

that said, I love my car and I'm doing stage 2 because it's not about maximizing my value. It's purely based on enjoying the experience. I wanted more power. My car has zero badging for Lingenfelter and if not for the whine, no one would know.

i won't judge any "badge bandits" either... If I dropped $70k on my car and half of that was for looks, id probably be slapping stickers on everything from my phone to my white new-balance shoes.

im glad Callaway is finally at least getting one guy his car.

im still eagerly awaiting videos and performance numbers. (from owners)... Same with LPE cars. Wish more guys were in here making posts and content.

My all in for the supercharger was exactly what they advertise on their web site, $29995. I did also opt for the Callaway C8 wheels. I originally intended to get Forgelines so that is pretty much a wash.

I live at high altitude, 7350 feet, so any performance numbers I'd come up would be meaningless for most of the rest of the country. They'd be low and that would just feed the trolls.

I did not spend $50k. The supercharger package set me back $29995 as advertised.

The fit/finish is superb. It looks OEM.

so, no exhaust, splitter, fender rails, wheels, or other goodies? The extra powertrain warranty?

the center exit exhaust is pretty cool with their rear diffuser.

No, I did not get any extras other than the supercharger and wheels. I really wanted the center exhaust but at $13k with the required diffuser it was not worth it to me.

I was going to buy forged wheels anyhow (Forgelines) so that was a wash for me.

$30k, my goodness. How does this compare to previous offerings?

In 2010, a Callaway SC package was $20,000. Thanks to the purchase power of a dollar today, it takes a bit over $28,000 to purchase the same.

Economic impact of inflation, that’s just looking at it, dollar-for-dollar.

Curious what it sounds like with the stock exhaust still on there. Can't say I've heard a supercharged LT2 breathing through the stock pipes.

I haven't either. If it is anything like the 15 Stingray that I had the exhaust sound will change a little bit. On that car, the exhaust tone was deeper once I added the supercharger.

"Inflation". LOL We all know what happened, and exactly who is responsible.

Regardless, this is also blatant C8 price gouging. Just wait for non-thief vendors to offer a fairly priced twin turbo package and run HP tuners. Superior to belt driven superchargers, and you won't be a victim of greed or this unprecedented "inflation".

Why do you believe that turbos are superior to superchargers? Seems like there are pros and cons to each.

I think the sheer number of OEM turbo offerings over the past decade compared to supercharged ones speaks to the advantage going to the turbos.

The great TT set ups are pretty pricey. $70k+ installed... With all the beefing up needed and extra fueling, etc

but man do they pack a punch.

i think if not for the crazy ECM and TCM tuning lockout for so long, Wed have seen much more affordable and streetable packages sooner. #thanksGM
