As I mentioned before, your issue is because you are in Canada. When I was a Carlisle, I actually sat down with their principals and had lunch. They were totally transparent when I asked them about your question in particular, as it was on my mind from this thread. They said the issue is the Canadian government. The border crossing with a modified vehicle I was just become an impossibility.
Their solution was to have an installation center in Canada perform the work. I’ll assume that this was offered to you, But for whatever reason you’re going a different direction. It’s your choice. But I also understand why that company doesn’t want to risk going against the Canadian government and waste time and money and the potential of your car being black flagged. You gotta respect that. I do.
yes it was offered to me but the fact is they do not know when the dealers will be ready/trained AND do not have any idea which dealers will do the work ..sooo basically never is my guess... another point is I've never been asked about any car questions ( modifications) when crossing USA/Canada borders before ( with various vehicles) and I've done that many many times ... about the respect thingy , I'm sure the brass knows that the Callaway name is on many "fake " ones out there that would not pass emissions ( if tested) and it would have zero repercussions to them if the driver gets busted , any random person can put stickers/badges . Like I said before , I hope you guys have better luck with your builds .
They responded quickly with my request for return of my deposit . The address is : ownercare@callawaycars.com
I hope they help you out more than they could do for me .
Thanks for the suggestion to try the ownercare email address. It worked and I got a response from Callaway.
Has anyone gotten one of these cars yet? This is getting weird. Not that I have skin in the game but I would be right pissed if I paid for a new C8 that was sent on to Callaway only to have it sit there for months with no communication. I'm talking like show up at their facility and demand my car pissed.

Not yet . I reached out to them to ask to change the oils when they are working on the car and did get a response right away but did not ask for status . When its ready they will let me know . I’m cool with it

Received my refund … too bad it didn’t work out … going a different route … GLTA
Well, you have many different options now that HP Tuners has cracked the ECU. Experienced tuners are applying the new capability to Naturally Aspirated, Supercharged, and Twin Turbo builds. Good Luck with whatever direction you decide to go!
Good luck with this imaginary build. For a few dollars more you could have a Z or Eray. Both will certainly hold their value better. I'd love a turbo or SC but can't justify the expense and resale. I'm in line for a Z and can handle the wait. My C8 Z51 3LT will be a trade in.
How many of the Callaway cars are in the hands of owners? I'm still wanting to see where they wound up in terms of real world 60-130mph... just curious.

My understanding is they have built three cars. Whether they have gone back to their owners, I have no idea, but I saw the orange one at an event in Michigan the other day and it sounded like it was going that direction.
I asked about deliveries, and understand they are building cars in Connecticut now, then their California shop in the next week or so.
That's what I have from direct conversation with the principals of that company.
Regarding the 60-130 mph curiosity you have, you'll have to wait a bit longer, but hopefully not too much longer.
Interesting. I figured since they requested your car that they'd be getting to it sooner than this.
was hoping it would be back but realistically I was figuring at least 2 months. I’ve had others cars at shops for a year plus for less than a SC install. Ill get in touch with them this week. Would love to get it out and about before we get snow

I was also hoping to have mine before salt season. I don't think that's going to happen for me though.

I'd be guessing they still have engineering or tuning issue's with the setup. It's not an easy car to make a factory quality kit for, then if gm engineers are not helping on the tuning part. Even tougher.
I've been driving my procharged setup for almost a year now. Been 100% reliable so far. No issues at all with the car.
