Hey, I completely agree with you, the demand has increased incredibly! In a roundabout sort of way, that was what I was getting at. I was #401 and waited a solid year. The previous poster mentioned that he thought he might get a car in the spring or early summer. I thought a point of reference might be useful as I know there are now 750+ on their current list. Almost twice the number from when I started a year ago! It may be time for a third shift! (Alert the suppliers) Note: I moved up the list in big chunks at a time fashion, mostly due to ppl dropping out, getting a refund or just loosing interest, so who knows....)
What data base are you using? The wait time is purely by the dealership. I buyer told me he put his deposit down 8 months ago, the same week I put mine down. He dealer told him 7 more months to his allocation, My car was built last Tuesday and is here. It will be in my garage buy Friday. Another Buyer from the same dealership was told he should have is car in 4 months, he put his deposit down 12/12/2020. It will be sixteen months total, vs mine 7.5 months. Yes the car is popular, yes wait lists are growing but Dealership, Dealership, Dealership matters. Just now a buyer reported a 22 month wait deposit 2/2020 delivery 12/21.
[QUOTE=Predator 007;1604592013]My car was built on Thursday, signed paperwork electronically yesterday and had the OnStar turned on. Looks like my car is sitting peacefully on the lot. I set the app to notify me when it leaves this location. Hopefully it won’t be to much longer. Then it goes straight to PPF and ceramic.
do you know if its true or not i can have the car delivered to my local Chevy dealership from the factory for an additional $500 fee even though I'm buying through Ciocca?
No, only dealer who have an agreement with Ciocca, A Curtsey Delivery agreement

I myself had ciocca teach out to my local dealer and it is getting delivered to them. I even had my local dealer verify everything has been setup to recieve the car

No data base at all, I'm speaking about my personal experience with Stingray Chevrolet in Tampa. I was only addressing a specific post regarding Stingray's wait times. In my case, from 12/30/20 to this coming Tuesday when VIN #12000 will be built.

I agree and understand your point. Yea usually it is about a 25-30% Dropout rate because of life issues, but with many people being on multiple Waitlist I imagine that rate is even higher now.

Thank you (again) Faste60 for cutting through the hyperbole. I too am with Kerbeck now Ciocca and was initially told it would be a year. As of today I am status 3300 with a TPW of 1/31. And while I expect that to slip somewhat when I go status 3400, my total wait time will be less than a year (5/4/21 initial deposit).
I am however disappointed in Ciocca’s decision to eliminate Courtesy Deliveries.
No…He allegedly bought from Ciocca #1 selling dealership and is having it shipped to Stingray Chevrolet the #6 selling Dealership. I am on Stingray Chevrolet amongst others Waiting List and I was pointing out the fact that he got his C8 quicker but has to pay more with the transportation cost he was speaking about. Stingray Chevrolet wait time is longer and to their defense they told me it would be 12-18 months. I would have gone with one of the Big 3 last Summer when I started my quest but I was new to the process and did not know about Courtesy Delivery so I wanted a Dealership close to me. If C8 Stingray Allocations stay at a decent rate given the Z06 and other impacts, I should have an Allocation by late Spring or early Summer if not sooner because of my diversified Deposits with 5 Dealerships of various sizes.
Correct. I did buy from Kerbeck, now Ciocca, and I’m curious if the change in Courtesy Delivery policy came with the change in ownership.
Stingray has a very reasonable CD upcharge, about a third of what a private transport would have charged so a CD would still have netted out less than I’m spending.
Ultimately I chose NCM Delivery at $995 plus my transportation costs getting to and returning from BGA, BUT there will be tremendous value when compared to having my car delivered to the Walmart closest to my house!
Finally, knowing now that Stingray is a MSRP dealership, I’m on their Future Variant List (#120) for an e-Ray and, in the meantime, my wife and I will enjoy our C8 Stingray 2LT HTC Silver Flare Metallic Corvette.
Corvette Assembly Plant Workers Reject Local Labor Contract, Strike Authorized
Corvette Blogger is reporting this per the other forum.
Yup, but please nobody start feaking out. This negotation is a PROCESS, not some EVENT. It's been going on for two years, and the negotiation will continue.

You are right. Just seems like the craziness is non stop.
😂😂😂… Sometimes you have to Laugh to keep from Crying😂😂😂
Yes you do! My thoughts are they are posturing to hold a strike over GM’s head with the model year changeover and the new Z06 model introduction. The union definitely has the upper hand in negotiations. Uncertainties like this are why I would never recommend deferring an order. Take the car when you can get it.
Because if they can't come to a agreement during the "negotiation" period the workers will go on strike and I wanted to know when that could happen.....
