Ok, I must be on the transport lower level. I was hoping to beat to Ciocca to see it arrive and get unbagged. I think there are 4 Ciocca cars coming. Are we having fun yet.

You should of been given a GM Order Work Bench # at the time you made the initial deposit

Thank you! This is information that I have not previously been provided with. As I said in my original post when I ordered my C8 on July 1, 2021 I did not receive an order number from the dealer. In November 2021 I asked the dealer for an order number and was told an order number has not yet been assigned to me. I will go back to the dealer and ask for more information about my order. Thank you again for the information.

Hi,
Sounds like from your posts that you have been put on your dealers "Allocation List". Talk with the dealer and verify if that is where you are. Dealers are allocated a certain number of Corvettes based on their volume of Corvettes they sell. They create a wait list of buyers and when they gets cars allocated to them, they go down their Allocation List and contact buyers to put in their "Order". I can only assume then, as you have stated your dealer says there is no order for you yet, that you are still on their Allocation List waiting for your time to put in your order..
I hope this helps

Best of luck getting her (the car) home. Laughed at your comment about your wife getting excited after your 3rd. My wife is terrified! She has NEVER driven my 2012 Callaway Camaro and in spite of hearing that the C8 is built for the driver and not the passenger, isn't the least bit excited about climbing into the cockpit. Both of us are planning on driving to Florida from BGA but as the date gets closer, things may change (LoL)

My sales rep, Paul Zwick, told me they don't do Courtesy Deliveries anymore ... too many problems which fall back on Ciocca's shoulders.Paul gave me the name of several transport companies, none of which were inexpensive. Stingray Chevrolet in Plant City, FL was my intended destination and they have worked with Kerbeck for years. Maybe I should have called Dave and complained instead of accepting what the rep said and making alternate arrangements.

My wife did drive the other 3, a very little. She as manty did, thought my 2000 C5 convertible in Bowling Green Matelic was just beautiful and couldn't understand way I sold it for a C8. She's not a showy person and doesn't like to attract attention. My C8 is Torch Red with black racing strips, it will attract attention :-). I doubt she will never drive it.

Remember, salesmen have to give the party line, but the GM makes the discission.

Yep! This was my first goat rodeo. I guess I should not have accepted his answer as final, I was/am a much better negotiator.

Default Karl Chevrolet

My order shows up on line 5-0 of your spreadsheet. Just to update you on my status.

Per the dealer and confirmed with the Corvette Concierge, my Torch Red HTC had a TPW of 12/20. It has been built, I have VIN. As of mid last week it was waiting on final quality inspection and then the shipping process to move it to Karl Chevrolet in Ankeny, IA.

Hoping they keep it long enough the truck driver doesn’t have to move during a sub zero blizzard.
