I'm with you, this is the first new car I've paid MSRP for ....
Exactly, normally I sit and argue with the salesman over giving me 10% off of a new purchase or something else throwing something in or bickering over a hundred dollars, but to get the C8 at MSRP when I see so many being sold for over that... yeah very happy. I remember when my local Dodge Dealer got their Viper in way back in the good old days. It was roped off with a dealer markup, i don't remember how much... $30K... $60K? I really don't remember, but they said they had no problem selling them at that price as there was nothing like it on the road that first year
Just wanted to update you since my order is no linger on the Ciocca website. My son is flying into Nashville and we’re both driving my first ever Corvette back to Sarasota, FL. 😁🏎👊
I'm with you, this is the first new car I've paid MSRP for and any used cars I've ever bought I've worked out a deal. but the C8 I'm happy to pay MSRP and get on in 8 months. I could have had one sooner if I wanted to pay a premium.
Yes, paying MSRP is good. The other “never” thing…I’ve never driven a new car off the lot and have it be worth more than I paid.

None of us have until the C8. And with the frenzy around the Z06 I'm betting the first 6-month production will sell for over $50K over MSRP. 7,000 buyers were willing to put down $2,000 down just to get on Ciocca's wait list.

Right, I was one of them, just got my deposit back. There would probably be a C9 out before I ever made it to the top of the list. 😂😂 I watched a video the other day that said they have all the parts locked in to be able to build 77 ZO6s a day. That’s going to be a big cut into regular C8 production pretty bad.

WOW. Sounds like every ZO6 is sold out until forever? Is that what I am understanding?

Pretty much. As someone mentioned 7,000 people try to get one from one dealership, that’s crazy. They are talking about building in in a right hand drive version because the world wide interest in in them. With a max production of roughly 19K units a year there is probably enough demand in the states to sell every unit they can build for four or five years. Then add world wide demand?? Time for a new factory!

I just talked to a small dealership who sells very few regular C8’s and has no one currently waiting for one. When I asked him about the ZO6 he said he had nine people in line. There is crazy demand for those!
Criswell does not have a list. Your name is put in a folder and when your folder is at the top you get a call.
Yes, that's correct and one can't determine if the deck is stacked in favor of someone who wants a Z06 ahead of your C8 deposit date, as some have suggested. No feedback at all from "the number one Corvette salesman" in the country, other than an occasional update on his personal observations on the web site which doesn't tell you how many allocations they have received vs the number of deposits they have on file. Their sales staff is polite and professional but you really can't get a grip on where you are in their system. That's the main reason I asked for a refund of my deposit. I'm now at 2000 on MacMulkin's order list and will get a 2022 C8, my deposit with them was established a week after I submitted one with Criswell.
I’m sure a lot of us will receive the email update today but it’s still exciting to get. I guess from what I read this means the order is at 3000 status.
