Three months from going on a list to 2000 is fast. I went from 2000 on 11/16 to produced on 1/28.
Maybe delivery this week.
We could be approaching sub six months from order to delivery.
Was yours at MSRP?
Yes msrp. Turnaround time and exclusivity is definitely passing. Because I actually received 2 allocations same day from 2 different dealers 400 miles apart. One in middle of nowhere . I called them out of curiosity Christmas week. He’s said they don’t get many allocations and the last 2 they received he had to call around town to find buyers. Didn’t even make me pay a deposit and was msrp. I only went with Norman frede because I’ve bought from them a lot and trust them to follow through with their word and that there won’t be any hiccups.
You can have Luck, but it will cost you about 6K. I was going with a Dealership, Evergreen Chevrolet that charges MSRP plus 10%. I called them the other week and they had a February Allocation with a signed document stating I would pay 10% and guaranteed the February. The next day my Small Dealership came through with an Allocation so I passed. The Dealership is Evergreen Chevrolet and POC is Sales Manger Andrew Wright. I figure the 2023MY price increase will justify paying the 10% now because they say new car prices are going up 13%. The only bad part is that they do not allow Courtesy Delivery because they had problems in the past so they do their own PDI. The Dealership is in Washington state so the transportation cost for me was going to be about 2K and because my build was 94k it was going to actually be about 11K additional cost for me. But for someone that does not want to wait 12-18 months it is a option.

i just called dealer and found out I went 3000 status on Feb 1 also. Definitely think we’re getting closer to a quicker turnaround time. Especially if you’re willing
to do some leg work and call around.
I'm tracking all dealers all dates. My goal is to see a picture of how long buyers are waiting to order by dealership; How long from Order to status code 3000, the how long to TPW and the When the deliveries are. I'm sorting on when each buyer got on the Dealerships Wait List. I will update the daily, spread sheet here to make it easier to track. Check your data to make sure I've got it right.
I started his so I could get a picture of the timing on the process, as many of you know My C8 gets delivered Friday, and many has aske it I'm going to keep the spreadsheet going. Since I started this so many Buyers have given me feedback that they found it important to their knowledge too I feel responsible to keep it going at least to the end on the 2022 MY.
2/6/22 A few updates and a couple of new bees. Thanks for the nice comments about my car, I'm really enjoying it. Put a 100 miles of salt brin on it today.
You can start with Chevrolet.com, the Corvette Concierge, But I found both to be less that satisfactory. Your Dealer or Salesman. GM's new system should email you at 3000 and other key milestones. And finally, there is Shane Webb at the NCM, but this isn't his job. He their Museum Delivery Manager, a non-GM employee. But if we bother Shane too much he can't get his real job done. If you are not getting a NCM Delivery then, if you contact him at least get a year membership in the NCM.

2/8/22 just two updates today. But it looks like I need to chase a bunch for status.
Hi Faste60, please update my info. Order date 10 Feb 2022 #224 now at 2000. Thanks Ftr Joc
Got on MM list 6/15/21, went 2000 today 2/10/22
Also got on RHD list 6/18/21 and got a call 2/8/22 that they were ready to put my order in immediately, but I deferred expecting to hear from MM (local to me) later in the week.
I don't know what # I was when I got on either list.
I called dealers all over Texas in December. Most were quoting 18-24 months. The big three were all saying 12 months.
Thats crazy. I called a pretty good amount in Texas, in December also, and found out through my cousins experience that the small town dealers that say “we don’t expect any allocations and we don’t sell many corvettes. You’ll be the only person on my list.” Or “you’ll be the 2nd” are the best options as backup and I consider them somewhat of a wild card. Cause if they get a surprise allocation it’s yours. That’s how I went from list to 2000 to 3000 so fast. The small dealer with no waitlist but not expecting allocations got me an allocation in 4 weeks. It’s just lucky timing with the small dealers. Like I said above, he told me the last 2 allocations he had to call around town to find buyers for.
Is everyone else still experiencing the 10-12 month estimate for an allocation?

It appears to me the wait list are growing, not shrinking, so the saftest approach is to get on both Ciocca and MacMulkin list ASAP then beat the bushes for that single allocation in that dealership that never gets any.

Not only are they still growing, but with Z06s about to consume part of the allocation numbers, the # of allocations used for Stingrays is about to drop come late March which will push out Stingray wait times for everyone even further.
Place my deposit early January ‘21. Ordered the car late October ‘21. TPW 11/20. Actual build date 1/11/22. Arrived at the Dealer 01/28/22. Picking car up today, 02/11/22.

Hey @Tophog1953 , your 17-day window from build to arrival at dealer is reassuring - mine was built 17 days ago and while it isn’t going to match yours by arriving today, at least it’s good to know that it’s a normal-ish timeline and not too much of an outlier yet.

Yes, I completely agree with this. The only positive aspect might be that the C8 demand remains high, so those that own them might retain a high resale value for those looking to sell theirs. As long as our economy doesn't get a hugh set back (Like 2009 or worse). I am still going to pursue a Z06 myself, as the C8 is for my wife. Might be a 23, 24, or 25 with the allocation bottle neck. I will go through my local dealer again as the C8 was ordered early July 21 and is being built Monday 2/14. I have been doing business with them for 32 years. In the process of ordering a 2022 Tahoe RST 5.3, which will take around 3 months to come in. The 6.2 is probably a 3rd quarter delivery. Oh, well.

I put my name on a local dealers list 3 years ago when the C8 came out. He gets one allocation a year. I had forgot all about it until Wednesday while driving through the Ozarks in Arkansas I get a call from Team Chevrolet in Scottsbluff Nebraska telling me they had an allocation for me but I had to be there Thursday (yesterday) before noon to put in my order. I was a thousand miles away but I made it. I put my order in yesterday morning and that afternoon when I called the concierge my order was at 2000.

Do you know what milestones they email you? I got the one at 3000, I assume the next is 3400? Then 4000?

Add in a price increase on the 2023s of anywhere up to 13% and that resale number will go even higher. Whatever percentage they raise the price of the car I would expect a higher percentage on upgrades. I think buying a new car and driving it off the lot with a value 20% higher than you paid is a once in a lifetime event!
