So stupid that the State of IL FOID cards and combined FOID and CCL Cards have no expiration date on them. How is one to know when their FOID or CCL license expires under this new system? I got my new FOID car with no expiration date on it, I have no clue when it expires. Whoever thought and approved of this stupid idea should immediately be fired. Stupid is as stupid does!

To my clueless friend...
The new card shows no expiration date as the card itself does not expire. All information about your status is found through the ISP internet portal, go there and create an account or login to your existing one.
If you are a current CCL holder then you already have an account.

The new card designed to catch people up who forget to renew 5 years later since no date on card + people have already been falsely gotten in trouble because of misinterpretation on red text at bottom. Total disaster, people should speak out for this to be immediately reformed. It's all designed to disarm and vilify law abiding gun owners in IL

This is what the Libtards want and we have to fight them hard and despite Crook County and Jelly Belly as our Governor, the gun lobby in IL is fairly strong and I would be surprised if this becomes Illinois law right now, but it could in the piece of crap blue State of IL that we live in. BUT, if that happens, up to the US Supreme Court it will go and in my humble opinion it would be overturned there, as the current US Supreme Court as it sits has taken a very favorable opinion on 2nd Amendment rights. Until then, we must fight the good fight, and if you a 2nd Amendment Person, its time to join the the Illinois State Rifle Association (ISRA) and of course the NRA if you are not already a member and value your second amendment rights. IF we don't fight the good fight the far left whack jobs will gain more and more ground.

EDWARDSVILLE – The Madison County Board has overwhelmingly approved a resolution opposing a proposed “assault weapon” ban being considered by the Illinois General Assembly.
Probably can be taken mostly anecdotally, but I recently had a patient the other day that works somewhere within the police administration for Cook County. He believes Hb5855 is really just a political stunt and probably won't go anywhere. Even if it did start to move almost every county or town would draft some sort of opposition and very few police would actually enforce anything. I still just can't believe that something that would make millions of people felons overnight would be proposed. We really need to normalize government to be afraid of the will of the people again, otherwise there is no liberty. Dog speed Illinois.
Most rational people know when they talk gun control you need to take the word "GUN" out of any statements made. Nothing proposed would change any gun crimes whatsoever and will actually increase violence against citizens. They don't give a crap about guns or people.. just power and control over the surfs they hate so much
For the past few weeks, anti-gun democrats in the State Legislature have been trying to pass an insane anti-gun bill.
House Bill 5855 seeks to ban many commonly owned firearms from manufacture or sale, and require all current owners of these guns to register them within the state. Not only does this tyrannical proposition infringe on the rights of all Illinois citizens, but it is also extremely dangerous.
These commonly owned semi-automatic firearms are used countless times every year to save lives and deter crime. Banning them will only prevent law-abiding citizens from purchasing the best firearm to defend themselves. Not to mention, the requirement to register currently owned firearms is vehemently unconstitutional.
Currently, the bill is still in the House and could be voted on any day now.

Yes my friends this new far left gun grabbing law that the far left in Illinois is dying to make into law in the immediate future and our flaming left wing Governor, Jelly Belly Prickster, is dying to sign into law is something we all need to be fighting with all of the legal means we have access to. The good news is that if become law, and it very well might, we have a very friendly 2nd Amendment US Supreme Court for the time being, which would strike this done as unconstitutional under the 2nd Amendment, and this will get up to the Supreme Court of the United States fairly quickly if it does not get overturned b/f reaching to the high court of the land.
That all being said we need to fight against this law coming into reality will all the legal power we have within in our means and with access to all the strong gun lobbies that we have access to, we certainly can't sit on our hands and do nothing b/c this law coming into existence soon is certainly a reality, and we all must legally do everything within in our means to try to prevent this from happening.
