site change
To make it clear and direct - unless details are provided then this type of feedback does nothing at all. You can't expect any change to be made if no details are given to provide an insight into the issue.
You quoted a post agreeing with comment regarding the attachment process couldn't be "more convoluted". Yet when I replied to that post asking for details to see exactly what the issue was, it wasn't provided. You also didn't provide any details.
Like I said before, the attachment system that's now default is the same attachment system that rolled out a year or so ago to positive feedback but was optional along side the legacy attachment system. What's different? Drag-and-drop. Ability to put pictures in-line to content with comments. Ability to more easily re-post an image. And, yup, those features were requested in the past - especially the ability to stack pictures with comments inline.
That statement says a lot. While it may be useless to you, it's not useless to some who have lost content and did ask about it. Such as:

Since some were so doubtful that people wanted any change and went as far as claiming that "no one" was complaining about previous version (not true), that there was no improvement with this version (again, not true), I provided a few, quick, references and it's still meant with the same argumentative mentality. If you don't think an auto-save is useful to prevent losing posts, or even go so far to call it "useless", then we might as well be finished because the actions by some are very clear.
If this thread is merely going to be about people complaining about change itself, being "cute" about their replies, making incorrect statements, and not provide any sort of constructive feedback to improve upon the slight update, then this thread is useless and might as well be finished. Some are stuck believing the comments in this thread are the entire picture and justify a revert despite there has been no major issue discovered with this design or no path to being fixed if there was. Those who believe this change is too difficult and has caused people to leave, the analytics don't support that. Looking at 1 week and 3 days prior to the change and 1 week and 3 days after the change, there has been no pattern to show any drop in post content. To post content, you likely need use the editor so that kinda shows it's not so difficult to use if daily posts haven't shown any drop in trend since the change.
If someone wants to provide actual, detailed, feedback as to ways to improve or have any questions to how things work, feel free to start a new thread and provide the information. Or use the Contact Us link. Or send a PM to an Administrator.
If your programmers could have made it any more convoluted I cannot imagine how they would have approached it. They need to be stood against the wall with blind folds and................. Well you get the idea...........
I'm in that 1% (or so you claim) that says GO BACK!!!!!!!!!!
Very likely that those not complaining about the alleged improvements are just readers and not those that have been regular consistent posters that now have their lives challenged to do the SAME old thing they have been doing for 10+ years but in a very less friendly way......................

Thank the E-Gods! I can finally sleep tonight.
<-- I have those two memorized or I wouldn't use them anymore. Since some were so doubtful that people wanted any change and went as far as claiming that "no one" was complaining about previous version (not true), that there was no improvement with this version (again, not true), I provided a few, quick, references and it's still meant with the same argumentative mentality. Close it then and make the changes you want. Let the users who have problems you've created with the changes start new threads. You obviously aren't listening to the largest portion of the members on this forum who so chose to give input so just ignore us. You've spent more time coming up with "cute" responses yourself instead of putting your listening ears on. To accuse members who gave a hoot enough to seek this out and give input of being "cute" and complainers says a lot about yourself as admin. I was giving you genuine feedback as well as many others here. I suspected all along that I was wasting my time and at this point I think its fact.
We shouldn't be punished because 1% of 1% of the users don't know how to set up a browser or better yet just use the search and locate a thread that can help them.
Regarding your comments about my Admin status, your account isn't spotless for only 2 years so there's room on both sides to judge. That aside, you made 2 separate posts referencing how you weren't getting personal replies, then made an inaccurate claim about how the "largest portion" are against the change. When you, and a few others, wanted verification of those asking for these changes and I provided some quick verification for a specific case, you still want to argue about the change. To top it off, you never provided any helpful ideas to make the GUI better nor any specific issue or problem with the new GUI. Instead, you simply wanted the old GUI back without any details as to why (other than possibly you not approving it). A revert is not realistic nor is there any solid, technical, reason that has been provided to justify a full revert.
By the way, I didn't make this change myself. I didn't re-design the GUI myself. So I'm not here to defend my work.
I'm sorry for those who are legitimately frustrated or have questions. For those of you who have questions about how the updated GUI works or have a bug to report, feel free to start a new thread, send me or another Administrator a PM, or use the Contact Us link while keeping it on-topic without trying to restart this argument. Anyone who simply wants to bash the operation, staff, or simply argue online for the fun of it, I don't suggest trying to continue it in another thread.
