Hmm so here's something interesting I just read. I don't know if this is true which is why I'm asking everyone's opinions.
I didn't know what type of dyno my car was dynoed on and found out today.
I made 577/518.8 on a dyno dynamics. After I googled in dyno dynamics I read a few articles, about 5 that said dyno dynamics reads much lower than all the other dyno's on the market.
Anyone have any experience with this?
If they aren't manipulated they will read low on the HP side but the tq is pretty close to what DJ's read. 95% of shops that have them correct them to "read like a dynojet" which usually jacks the CF to something like 1.14. Easiest way to find out about your numbers it to contact the shop and ask them what correction number was used on your dyno. Ask for the number and not SAE or STD etc.
I sat and watched a 325rwhp car turn into a 480rwhp car on a DD just by a few clicks of the mouse.
Brett you are correct....if you want a high *** fudged dyno number...hop on a dyno nynamics because 95% of the time they'll be messed with so the car owner can get a chubby on their number and not be humbled by the dyno like the rest of us poor folk
483rwhp and 422 rwtq with the vette doctors 550 rx. 383 stroker, trick flow 215 heads, fast 92, vette doctors cam, kooks long tubes into ghl's and vararam cai. 4.10's and dyno tuned
Paxton novi 2000, lg pro longtube headers, cat delete, meth injection
I would say they could be legit with 8+ lbs of boost. My stock Z made 634/550rw with a P1 at 10lbs restricted, small cam, headers, and some meth. I was only running 14* of timing. So I don't see your numbers being out of line at all.
Here are my dyno numbers... 762 rwhp 701 rwtq on Nano assisted 250 shot... I also have another dyno chart with 860 rwhp, but the motor didnt like it, so we'll leave that one out...
522 rwhp and 469 rwtq... N/A
Please add me to you lists.

Reason: adding dyno sheet
Here's mine, just put it back on the road last week:
'02 C5 A4/2.73
Black wing, UD pully, 160 stat
LG Pro long tubes w/3" high flow cats, ceramic in/out, through Grannie cat back
LPE ported/polished heads milled to 61cc/comp 921's

Yella Terra, GMPP red wires,
On a Dyno Jet - 409.97 hp/405.48 tp
Runs pretty much like stock until I step on the loud pedal...
Best numbers on MUSTANG dyno 467rwhp 390rwtq. [346 H/C]
You guys make alot of good points. I tend to agree with PRAY on alot of the issues.
I've always said that driver can greatly affect mph.
Other things that play a significant role on mph that people often overlook are tire type, tire diameter, shift points, powershifting, gearing clutch,etc...
I truly think Robs car could go 9.5's at 145 with my "OLD" motor in it. I think him and I are about even drivers. And as we all know with M6/12 cars, it is all about the driver. But Robs car is so great because every thing is sorted out and optomized for the 1/4. Remember that I never got to make a pass with my last dyno numbers. So my 10.21@136 would easily fall with better weather and the extra 25/25rw the car now has. It should have been a 9 sec pass if it didn't spin on every stinking shift and dive for the center line on the 3/4.
Here are some of the factors playing into the whole equation as to why Robs car is "faster and quicker" than my old car. Rob has worked heads, missing pass seat, soft lock clutch, 2-step, 4.11 gears, custom trans with m6 gearing, suspension mods, bogarts, MT ET DR's 26", traps at 7,200rpm and 1.40 60ft's, E-town and Atco. I have out of the box heads, all interior, tex twin, launching on my own, 3.42 gears, built MN12 trans with heavy internals and out put shafts and stock gearing, no suspension mods, GTO spare/Camaro wheels with ET Street slicks that are atleast 28" tall at the end of the track, 6,000 trap rpm, 1.5x 60ft's, Fayettevill MSP.
Rob took the time and money to make every part of his car work flawlessly for him. I wish I could have done the same. Robs car will stay on top for a long time. It defies what we think we know about cubes, weight and power. He has a truly amazing set up. So I guess what I am saying is that there are a ton of factors that go into ET and MPH. HP is probably the smallest part to tell the truth. You want to see who's numbers are legit. Line both cars up at 60 or so and have at it. That is a true hp race.
Why thanks.
I agree with the comparo stuff.
Maybe I'll get a chance to run my car with some more cubes this fall. Not sure if I'll get it done in time, though.

Are you saying that car is presently down and you may not be running this fall? Obviously I don't understand your post.

No, it's still intact right now.
I have a chance to swap in a new motor. It will be under 400cubes and n/a. I may go for it but I want to make sure I have time to get it ready to race by mid october.
I will miss some of the early fall but will attend MIR somehow. I will need to hump it.
