Great news, Lisa!! I'm sure it helped you to have a Merry Christmas. We're all keeping those prayers and coming to Sonny and you! He's very lucky to have you by his side.

He has a special wave that he gives her and he did that yesterday when he saw her!! He's been giving me lots of kisses on the cheek. They even got him out of bed on saturday and let him sit in a chair for a while! He's doing so good, I'm so proud of him. We don't think that he completely understands yet whats going on etc. But we continue to reassure him that everything is okay. We tell him that he is in the hospital, that he had an accident, but we don't know if he's getting it. Although I asked him yesterday if he know where he was and he mouthed "hospital" but shook his head no when i asked him if he knew why. So...just a little bit at a time...He is very anxious to get out of bed still and is kinda starting to get angry because we won't let him go. I hate seeing him like that. He'll be okay though. I know that I have said thank you for your prayers and support, but thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Merry Christmas everyone!

wonderful news that brought a tear to my eye. I will continue to pray for a speedy and full recovery.
"Hey guys! Well The rehab doctor visited with Sonny yesterday and he says that he is DEFINITELY ready to start that portion of his recovery. They want to move him to the rehab floor as soon as possible but it may take a few days for them to work out the kinks since Sonny doesn't have health insurance He's been doing really well recognizing a lot of people. I wrote down "corvette" on a dry erase board that we got for him and showed him and he got a HUGE smile of his face and gave a thumbs up. So, I know he's in there it is just going to take awhile for him to come out! Hopefully he'll be in rehad by early next week and they say he'll be there about 2-3 weeks and then home after that! Unless he needs extended care after that then he'll have to go to a nursing home type facility I REALLY don't want that to happen! Keep your fingers crossed and prayers going for him to do well in rehab! Thanks again everyone, and I'll keep you guys updated! You're the best!

"Here's the lastest on Sonny...last night he had his first real dinner in 2 weeks! Porkchops and sweet potatoes! He love it too...they are supposed to take his trach out tomorrow, which will be good since he's already pulled it out once on his own!! He's been a bad patient! He's been doing really good the past couple of days...really talkative when he's not sleeping! Getting a little better everyday! Thank you all for staying interested in his progress! Happy New Year!

Happy to hear of the progress being made, the power of prayer can't be beat. I will keep an eye out for the pay-pal link. Waterside is coming up quickly, maybe something can be incorporated in that show for him.
