I think we all feel a little helpless.......if there is anything the family needs....please pass it along...you know these Forum folks...always willing to lend what it takes.....and right now that's prayers.......
"Hi everyone, this is Lisa..Sonny's girlfriend...I've never really used this website before, so I hope I'm doing this right! I just wanted to say thank you all SO much for all of your support and prayers. I firmly believe in my heart that Sonny is going to be just fine....it will just take some time. All of you have truly touched my heart and I know that Sonny will be so pleased to see everyone's concern. Thank you again, this all really means a lot."
"I don't want to post bad news but they put Sonny back on the ventilator today. He has developed pneumonia and the ventilator is supposed to help with that...it's for his own good I guess. The doctor's are going to put in a trach tomorrow (a direct "tube" into Sonny's trachea through his neck so he won't have all the other tubes down his throat). Sounds like a step in the wrong direction, but it will make him heal faster by getting more oxygen and make him more comfortable. He's still not responding that well to commands but the nurses etc say it's still pretty early in the game. I'll try to get more info out tomorrow. Thank you for your prayers! Lisa"

Thanks Gary. Sonny is a strong guy and he will pull through. Call me if you need help Gary. Scott
Thanks Gary, the Carolina Auto Masters crew is hanging onto updates, and praying for the best. We've competed against Sonny at Maxton, as well as worked on his car, and yes, Sonny is a fierce competitor, and I know he'll pull through, and even make it to the Hot Rod Top Speed Challenge in March. I know how much he was looking forward to it, we talked about it last week. I'm forwarding the updates to the ECTA crew as we get them.
