F1 needs smaller cars...passing is difficult when a car is as wide as the track.
Tried to watch one of the E events shown earlier in the week.
Just couldn't do it.
Sounds like a ride at Disneyland.

"New way" (the inspiration for the new world of F1 lies in the reinvention of the old with +35 years).
A meeting was due to take place between the "New Way" and his bosses in Milton Keynes to confirm the modus vivendi for his departure. According to F1-Insider, La Canette will announce Adrian's departure today or in Miami at the latest.
Newey would not see out his contract (end 2025), a notice period allowing him to work earlier than planned with his new team, most likely Féfé, would be in the hands of the lawyers. He reportedly sent an internal letter to all employees to explain his decision. Unhappy with the power struggle within the team, as well as with his own role within the Austrian company and the treatment of the Spicy Boy's collaborator, who is ALSO his collaborator, New Way has been asked to concentrate on the RB17 hypercar project, but he no longer wishes to do so, F1 and nothing! Hard to believe that La Canette would allow New Way to work for the Scuderia from 2025 on the future 2026 rules, it is possible that the Briton could work on the 2027 single-seater during the 2026 season, i.e. a year ahead of the notice period normally established in his contract.
Stappen-Merco
As I said earlier, his salary would be close to €150M, including €75M without bonuses, plus bonuses for victories and the world title, plus a whole host of operations that Verstappen would like to keep (GT3 team, sim racing team, etc.), not to mention the benefits that Merco and its AMG subsidiary can provide.
For comparison, at best, Merco gave between €60 and €100 million a year for Lewis, his bonuses and, more recently, his Mission 44 foundation.
Wait and see while going on Miami.

Labour Day in France
OFFICIAL
New seism since Ham's departure from Merco and the Spice Boy scandal :
As I announced several days ago, New Way is leaving RB at the beginning of 2025 to become Féfé Consultant/Technical Director.
He will continue his work on the RB17 road car, the non-F1 equivalent of the Valkyrie at RB, while awaiting his unguarded tarnsfert at Féfé.
More news to come.
It seems that Markus Cyclopus is also leaving La Canette, so Max's resignation is forthcoming and Merco's contract...to be continued.

New Way's departure, effective in the first quarter of 2025, will allow him to freely join a new team without a period of professional restriction, known in F1 as gardening.
An F1 legend, New Way has played a key role in all the Poisoned Can's successes since his arrival in 2006. His track record is impressive: victories and Constructors' championships with Williams, McL and La Canette.
New Way's "free agent" status will not be subject to any professional restriction clauses (gardening leave)!!!!
Newey's departure comes at a crucial time for the design of the 2026 single-seaters. The Can and the Spice Boy will have to defend the supremacy and Imperium of Salzburg without the undisputed World Genius. The team certainly has a solid design department headed by Frenchman Pierre Waché, but the impact of Newey's absence remains to be assessed, as he is an undisputed final validation element and Master of the field in F1: he is the only one who has experienced the ground effect when it appeared on track in F1 and in the modern era, so he is the only one who has avoided the pitfall of porpoising in 2022!
The future of Max Verstappen, four-time winner this season, also raises questions. The Dutch driver is under contract until 2028, but the new state of the transfer market could all that.
Today, I remember Ayrton Senna, nicknamed Magic by the journalist Johnny Rives of the sports newspaper l'Equipe.

to answer your question, I'm going to quote Italy's Gazetta dello sport, which says that Frédéric Vasseur, instead of leaving on Tuesday with La Scuderia for Miami, flew to London: the aim was to meet New Way! the official agreement signed with Féfé will take place after the GP, but it's certain that he'll be able to work directly on the SF of 2026.
On the 2025 SF, he'll only be able to make improvements, in my opinion, as he'll be joining Féfé in the 1st quarter of 2025 with an SF solidly based on its original design. His contribution to 2025 will certainly not be negligible, and it will be time for both Féfé and New Way to adapt to each other. In short, Mike, New Way's gardening period begins today, as he is no longer involved with F1 but with the RB 17 road car, and will be free to bring his incomparable know-how to bear wherever he chooses from early 2025. I think RB has been broad-minded in keeping him, which is why it was so easy for him to negotiate his departure so quickly.
Ham and Spice Boy have launched a real cyclone on a lethargic F1 due to the success of RB/Max! Thanks to them !

hii!! btw, you can watch f1 for free at www.watchf1full.com. no weird links whenever you click on an empty space like some others, but only has replays and not lives (if that would be a deciding factor for yall).

Miami !
Aqui estamos en el lugar donde los aficionados de la F1 deben estar : Miami, the salsa fury of Puerto Rico, close to the island I often visit, and the mechanical fury this we ! Sprint race format will make for a superb weekend, spiced up by the latest news, which I'll come back to at the end of the article. I can't wait for Miami, but I can't wait for 2025 !
As usual, we'll continue with the outline of the article, structured as we go along : the track, the stakes, the tyres and the weather. If you have any ideas for an even better structure, don't hesitate to let us know so that we can improve the format of the GP presentation article, for everyone's benefit ! As long as I'm with you, one day, someone else, one of you, will have to take over, like after Sunsalem, thank you to him for opening a sticky, THANK YOU SUN! I'd have liked to hear from him!
The track
1st of 3roaring stops in los Estados Unidos, Miami! This place could see an evolution in the hierarchy! Oh, behind the famous Canette, which is in the spotlight for so many things right now!
The Miami International Autodrome was resurfaced this winter to give drivers more room to attack.
Length 5.412 km
Turns 19
Laps 57
DRS 3
Total 308.326 km.
The circuit begins with a series of 3 corners, followed by 3 fast bends and a braking stop in front of the marina. From here, T9 and 10 are actually a slightly curved straight. This leads to the most sinuous section of the track.
Strength and stakes
McL and maybe Merco in front of the Rouge?
Féfé is the only team that can boast of having taken a victory from the morally bankrupt Poisoners in Salzburg! Poor Mozart! He must be turning in his common, anonymous grave!
The Scuderia is unquestionably the second strongest team on the grid, and constantly improving despite the Suzuka results, with a 55-point lead over McLaren and a 99-point lead over Merco, and the only team other than these Poisoners, whose boss puts his hand up a woman's *** without her approval, to have won a Grand Prix in almost a year and a half!
In Miami, the 2 Brit teams will be introducing evolutions in the hope of catching up with il Cavalino Rampante. For Merco, Allison hopes that the new W15 parts will enable the Silver Arrows to claw back a few hundredths and therefore a few places on the starting grid - a few hundredths today being equivalent to several places! The new aero won't, however, correct the Mercedes' tendency to understeer (which forces Ham and Russy to give the W15 a burst of throttle in order to rotate it, which, of course, causes considerable damage to the rear tires!)
McL has worked on its problems, and they deserve credit for believing in them: long, low-speed corners, tire degradation, aerodynamic efficiency, but the problems remain, even when mitigated. A big Evo planned here will seek to eradicate these performance problems. Stella himself tempers hopes by saying that the papaya car will not be transformed as it was in 2023.
The problem for these teams is that there won't be enough time to evaluate and correct the EVOS and the problems, but if it works straight away, the benefit will be immediate cash in the form of grid places! Competition is a fierce and risky battle, but the prospect of being paid back immediately is worth the risk! that's F1 !
One year on from his ninth-place show of force, with exceptional tyre economy and a faultless comeback to catch Checo at the end of the race, Maxoo will be the favorite at this Miami GP, where he remains unbeaten.
I'm wondering about the Little Poisoner with an unpronounceable team name, I'm talking about the former Alpha T. Her performances are remarkably better than 2023, but no one is paying any attention: is this due to the weakness of White Teeth, to the very tight gaps in the midfield which seems so compact and indistinct? To get noticed and perform better, evos are planned here.
The tyres
As track conditions change significantly over the course of the weekend, Pirelli expects graining to make an appearance on the tires in Miami, particularly on Medium and Soft.
Weather
The surface, which can reach temperatures in excess of 50°C, is particularly abrasive, while paradoxically offering only limited grip. One of the other special features of this route is that it has been run in the direction of the USA in recent days, with Florida enjoying much milder weather in early May.
The New Way case and the future of La Canette
For Spice Boy's New Way friend of 19 years, a big disappointment over his attitude in the sexual harassment scandal of which the manager was accused by his assistant, who was also New Way's assistant.
Then, the lack of recognition from the stable for his contribution, notably in an interview published at the end of last year, in which Spice Boy claimed that New Way was "replaceable", and which Newey's wife described as "hogwash" on X. At the same time, Frenchman Pierre Waché's contract was reportedly extended at the end of last year, with very favorable conditions, so that he wouldn't leave the team.
The Stappen clan, consisting of Maxoo, his father Jos, Raymond Vermeulen [his manager] and sports advisor Markus Cyclopus, seems to be increasingly united in the face of an increasingly isolated Spicy Horror, despite the fact that the Brit officially enjoys the support of the energy drink brand and the Almighty, the majority Thai shareholder, the latter wanting to bring in Albon to crown him.
Thirdly, the fact that Horner wanted to keep Newey out of F1 so that he could concentrate exclusively on the RB17 hypercar did not sit well with the interested party. In short, the honeymoon was over, and this time Red Bull did nothing to retain its historic technical director. An aMIAMIble divorce of sorts.
The Sargeant case
It seems that Merco has asked the FIA for a derogation for Antonelli this year, according to Italian journalist Turini. The aim is to place Antonelli at Williams to cut his teeth and possibly replace Ham if negotiations with the Stappen clan should fail despite the Merco-Stappen pre-contract. Sargeant's seat is clearly under threat !
The Alpine case
Alpine today announced the appointment of David Sanchez as Executive Technical Director, marking a return to Enstone for the French engineer.
Sanchez had been poached from Féfé and then by McL a few months ago, but the contract was terminated by McL by mutual agreement. In this newly-created position, Sanchez will oversee Alpine's Enstone technical department (chassis and aero in the UK), with overall responsibility for the team's performance, engineering and aerodynamics. He will replace Matt Harman and Dirk de Beer, who left recently. An excellent recruit for a moribund team !
OK, boyz, adelante, mojitos para todos !

Have a good one,

Carlito presents Audi with a major challenge for its driver line-up ahead of its arrival in F1 in 2026: he has just refused Audi's offer for 2025. Audi will have to convince established talent to join a nascent project before it flourishes, even if the lure of participating in the creation of a new force could seduce drivers like Ocon, Gasly and even Checo. Carlito is clearly aiming for La Canette or Merco!
Carlito's decision highlights the intense competition at the top of the F1 driver pyramid. His decision has reignited the drivers' mercato and opened the way to a potential reorganization for several teams.

Bonjour !

La unica del we, sprint this we ! again !
A soporific session marked by a spin from Leclerc stuck in the middle of the track, the end of the session for him. It's dramatic for his preparation, this driver makes too many mistakes! 10 new McLs this weekend, Féfé and Alpine without evos.

New Way has declared that he wants to go on vacation in a camper van across France with his wife and dogs. What I'm saying is that he'll have a clearer head before making his decision, and that Italy is adjacent to France. Vasseur has made no comment about New Way's departure, and that's part of the discretion, the secrecy, for me, he'll be with Féfé despite the millions, the stratospheric offer made by Stroll, but New Way is a modern knight, ethics count for him above all else: he suspects Stroll of making the team perform and then selling at the highest price, and that's something guys like New Way don't like.
Race Sprint
before even the race, penalty 10s for Ocon, launched when Leclerc were passing, he hurts the Féfé in the pit.
Crash between the Aston, Lando, Ham, Lando and Stroll out.
A lot of penalties, KMag a lot, 35 s, and Ham speeding pit, so temporary result but a nice fight between KMag, Ham, Tsu, too with Ricci and Carlito
The stewards gave a drive through to Ham, so i think 20s after the race, the new result

In T1, Zozo hit the darling son, Ham came in like a bullet from P12 and hit Zozo who hit Stroll and the latter sent Lando into the scenery.
Race Q1
Alpine Evos seem to work. Merco is at the top of what its W15 can give, P8 P9 P10, because the 2 drivers can't do better than what we see by being very very close.
Q2
What happens at Aston : Troll faster than Zozo ! Ham very quick, on this track the C4 functionns better than the C3 Medium
