Are White Corvette Wheels the Right Wheels?
If It’s the Shoes That Make the Man, It’s the Wheels That Make the Car. Choose Wisely: White or Black?
Adding a set of aftermarket wheels to your Corvette is one of the most popular ways to make your car more your own style. The right set of wheels can really make a difference in how your ‘Vette looks, taking it above and beyond a normal ride.
A wheel upgrade is a relatively simple modification to have done. And depending on the widths you choose and the tires you wrap them in, it can really make a difference in how your car drives, too. From an aesthetic point of view, changing the color of your wheels can be equally as important.
There has been some debate recently on our forum as to whether a set of white HRE wheels looks appropriate on this C7 Corvette. Or perhaps the original black wheels are better?

The car in question belongs to Corvette Forum member ddman718. He’s trying to gain a consensus among the community as to which wheels he should use. Our personal opinion gravitates towards the white wheels, as we really love color-matching wheels to the paint color. It’s a trend that deserves to make a comeback, especially on white cars.
At the end of the day, the choice is ddman718’s to make. Wheel choice is intensely personal, and asking a wide variety of people, like you’ll find on Corvette Forum, you’re likely to get a wide variety of answers. We all love our own thing, and gravitate toward our own choice as being best. Some people suggested chrome wheels, for example. We are not fans of chrome wheels, but we wouldn’t fault you for picking them. So back to the initial question, black wheels or white wheels?
