Unicorn C5 Build Deals With Minor Setbacks

By -

A busy race season has kept Kyle from making progress on his Unicorn C5 build.

If you’ve been keeping track of the 1320video C5 corvette battle, you’d think Kyle would have an edge in getting his Unicorn C5 completed. However, as life happens, work gets in the way. Progress on the Unicorn C5 has been limited to just a new set of custom-made wheels, and a small amount of dyno time.

As you can see in the latest installment above, that dyno time has also shown a few weak spots in the build. But Kyle says the power will still be there. Tuned to run on E85, special racing fuel is already on hand, which is more consistent in its mixture and blend than what you get from the gas pump.

These delays with the Unicorn C5 give rival Cleetus a bit of time to get his C5 repaired, and to figure out which type of power adder he’ll be slapping on his car.

Since Kyle’s car is going to be usable on the street, the build might take a bit longer. But he does have less work to do. Meanwhile, Leroy is perfectly imperfect, so once he’s running right, consider it done.

Both Cleetus and Kyle have promised rapid progress soon, so it will be interesting to see who’s project will be completed first. Place your bets now!
