There are guys out there paying one fifth what I paid for my car, and their cars can beat my BB '70 eight days a week. Yeah, they aren't as pretty......yawn.

I like the looks of any year C4 as long as it is a convertible, but I owned an 87 convertible and although it was a great car to drive, most of the time I worried that it wouldn't be able to limp back to the garage. Those cars are an electrical nightmare. Everything has a sensor and many of them cost hundreds of dollars. ( Check the parts books ) If you think you are getting a bargain because you can buy one cheap consider that is why I sold mine cheap. If I were to buy a C4 , I would just look for a body and put an older engine in it and eliminate all of the electronics and basicly have a vette that runs like a C3 with better suspension.

I think the C4 is a great design. I'm currently bringing one back from the dead slowly to one day run again. If I had the money to purchase any year Corvette it would definitley be a 90-95 ZR-1. Then again, from my forum handle, I'm probably a little bias to the C4s. Then again I haven't seen a Corvette design or year I didn't like.

The thing I hated the most when they debuted was that you could not tell the difference between them and a Camaro or Firebird when they were coming straight at you. .....haven't had those thoughts in a long time , but yes I thought the same thing many times not much eye appeal going on those cars, Some good engines for C4 but thats about all they had going and if its ugly , I don't care how many HP it has , ulgy is ugly. , and I don't care for chrome bumper cars from anybody. I think the rather "PLAIN JANE" looks is a reason for the horrible resale value....the body style had NO PERSONALITY like a C2 or C3 I liked the 3 gen Camaro Z car better during those years. A committee design. The latest design FINALLY has me looking ..........but then along comes the new Camaro ......Thats what I'm taking about !!! I may stand in line for a new Z-28 !

You are a piece of work, you couldn't give me a 78 Corvette.

Horrible resale value? Perhaps you C3 guys need to wake up. Where were your values 10 years ago? The C4 is not old enough yet to get higher values.

Now see to me the 78/79 Corvettes are the best looking Corvettes of all years. You could give me a C4 though

The interiors of the early C4 were exceptionally nice.

That's true. There's a generation of driver out there that are going to start looking at C4s and thinking of their past dreams.

I think they are cool, like a clean straight knife. The only thing I don't like are all the louvers and wing-dings people hang all over them, but that's a customization thing, nothing the car did. Pretty much any C4 will eat my car's lunch on the street to boot.

Go over to the C4 side I don't think you will see any corvette bashing of any generation. Take a look at yourself and grow up It is kind of like " My Dad can beat up your Dad " Nobody really wants to here your opinion anyway.

I'm buying 92 LT1 6spd first, then 80-81 Corvette next.

I do think the body line c3 is pure sex. Though, I go against the norm some, because I like the 81 body the most...along of course with 68!

In the end I really can't hate on any Corvette period. I like them all, I would own them all, I would take them all, if anyone has a C4 that they think is repulsive I'll give you my address...just ship it to me.

You seem to be the typical stereo type Corvette owner no one wants to become. I bet you wear Corvette TM hat, sun glass's, polo shirt, khaki pants, tennis shoes and thong. And you say I am a piece of work, I just made a comment to start a thread about the difference but I also said no matter what they drive they are proud to own and drive the greatest American sportscar. I am just an old school hotrodder that happen to buy my first Vette and swear to never become the guy like you that try's to park with all the other sweater tied around the neck Corvette drivers at the local cruise night.

C4 section is full of people who work on their own cars. Dont be insecure about the car you drive...just ****'n drive it.

If you read it you saw I did not bash anyone. I made a comment of my opinion and it got many opinions pro and con. Well it looks like you just made your opinion that I am sure most on here did not want to hear.

I do!!!! This is a forum, completely based on opinions, if you can't take someone giving thiers you have serious issues.I don't dislike the generation of Vettes after the one I own, I just like the 3rd gen best and always will. I understand the guys who own them love theirs and thats fine, and if the C3 forum is where you find guys "bashing" as you call it, I see it as passion, and never read a single bashing comment, just guys voicing why they think(opinion) their car is better and count me one of those, again all opinions no need to get pissy about opinions. Peace!

When you say "is the C4 the worst body line design ever for the Vette" you're definitely bashing C4's. I don't hold that against you, but at least accept the reality of what you're doing.
