I've had several vetts but never have I ever said Gee I want a 78......dude you're the one that has one of the worst dogs ever made vette wise.
I think you need to do some asking around your 78 isn't worth jack so don't bring up resale..who in the world wants a beige 78 auto smogged down 180hp car.....

Although the original question that started this thread was just an opinion and there was nothing wrong with it, what has transpired since is the reason this forum has become less and less enjoyable, especially for some of us that have been around for a while. Not that that matters but I can tell you it has really changed in recent years.
This forum ussually brings out the best in people. Unfortunately, as demonstrated by comments in this thread, it also can bring out the worst in people and why this world is so screwed up.
Kinda should be like the old saying, if you don't have anything good to say, then don't say anything at all. This would be a much better place.

It seems lately people are taking opinions too heavily. He was not bashing by stating his opinion on the body. He didn't say it sucked he just said he thinks its the worst out of 6 generations of vettes. This place is getting .

My first two corvettes were 68's and then owned a C4 for five years. I simply got tired of the car...nothing more, nothing less. Give me a ZR-1, a Callaway, or a Gran Sport though and I'd be more than happy to rejoin the C4 crew.

No it's like saying out of your whole family you are the worst looking. I wouldn't be happy but I wouldn't consider it bashing. To me bashing would be you're fugly! Sure but $50 of açaí is quite a lot, might take you a year to finish it.

Agreed, there's really no other way to interpret that. As is usually the case when bashing occurs, it's an effort to cover up insecurity over whatever the basher is in favor of.

To a rational person looking from the outside the answer with logic will either be: "its you" or "I think it might possible be the ugliest" in either case the answer is subjective based on the mindset of the person reading the original post..... Now, I absolutely think the C4 is Gawd aweful freakin Fugly and makes me wanna puke. Now maybe this stupid dicotomy of what bashing is and is not will cease, as I have given a perfect example of what it is. :O)

You seem to be the typical stereo type Corvette owner no one wants to become. I bet you wear Corvette TM hat, sun glass's, polo shirt, khaki pants, tennis shoes and thong. And you say I am a piece of work, I just made a comment to start a thread about the difference but I also said no matter what they drive they are proud to own and drive the greatest American sportscar. I am just an old school hotrodder that happen to buy my first Vette and swear to never become the guy like you that try's to park with all the other sweater tied around the neck Corvette drivers at the local cruise night.
Aren't you the guy that started all this by bashing the C4? I own both, I have a stock C3, a C3 with mods and a C4 so I can speak to the point. I love them all, I have a C3 that can run with a C4 but if you have a stock small block don't kid yourself, you can't touch a C4, especially an LT1 up.
This is why I hang with the C4 guys, they don't live and die by other's opinion of their Vettes. Go to C4 and see how many posts start with "Is it just me or do C3's.......", it doesn't happen. Some of you C3 guys need to grow up and stop thinking your opinion matters, it doesn't.
Now, back to C4 where the guys are more fun to be around. Until the next time one of you Vette owners start another lame "Is it just me or does the C4..." thread, later.
