Default 18" wheels

Finally joined the club today.
Coy's polished C-5 18x8 with 4.00" back space
and Nitto 255/45/18 NT 555.

Update. The front tires were rubbing on the finder lip so I switched them to 245/45/18's and have not had any more rubbing.

Wheels look good Darren. I'll have to stop by and see them in person.

Are the Coy's polished wheels clear coated? After having CCW's I don't want to polish aluminum ever again.

I'm not sure how the Gun Metal would look with Riverside Gold.

Thanks, The ride seems much better as does the steering also seems more responsive. I only drove it for about four miles to get the suspension to settle back down. They are predicting snow tomorrow and this Sunday so I am going to have to wait till a good hard rain to wash all the salt off the roads or spring to see how it is on the back roads.

They are polished. You can get them in chrome and black chrome.

Thanks Dustup7T2. I really like the look of your car, great stance. Yours, Rebelrod and MotorHead along with Craig's cars were great examples.

You can always photoshop them to a pic of your car to get ideas. Remember, I'm biased bc I have the Gun Metal on mine. If you don't have photoshop, you can ask help from someone who does.

To answer your earlier question, I believe that Coys does clear coat their wheels, also.

Good luck.

Ive had both and hated them ,constant up keep on them, unless you have a heated garage.I bought gray wheels,so easy to keep clean and shinny. There is coatings that you can put on the polished aluminum wheels, eastwood has them.

Sorry I didn't read your message thoroughly. I Just call Coy's and the Polished wheels are not clear coated.
I stripped the clear coat off my factory wheels about 10 years ago because it was dull and flaking off. I used a polish and wheel wax that I got from Ecklers. I have to do it about once every two years as I only drive the Vette about 1000 miles a year. I might use the wax on the Coy's. Will see how the shine holds up.

In this picture the front calipers have CORVETTE on them, where did they come from? They look good with those wheels.

Thank You,

The Calipers are powder coated from Vette Brekes & Products and did not come with the lettering. I saw another member that had lettering and had to ask also.
Go to ebay then click on motors then parts and accessories. Then type " corvette caliper stickers" in the search. It should be the first seller at the top. They will have a pic of a red C5 caliper with white lettering. The name of the seller is Vinyl Alternatives. You are buying a set of 4 decals one for each caliper, 2 are a little smaller then the others to accommodate most smaller rear calipers for a C5 and new Corvettes. All you will need is the smaller decals for the front. They are only like $7.00 a set so I ordered two just in case I screw up on placing the lettering, which I did. Cut as much paper as you can around the smaller decal after you remove it from the larger one to make it easier to handle.

If you can't find the seller PM me and I will PM you the link as I don't think we are allowed to post ebay links here.
