Yes, they are wide up front but if i had not seen several people in this thread running 18x9.5's up front i would not have bought them.

I am planning on 255/45/18 front and 285/40/18 back, maybe play around with adapters and tweak the fenders if i have to.

Now my car has 275/60/15 rear and 225/60/15 front and i think it looks silly with such a big balloon tire in the back, all out of proportion.

FWIW, the optimum wheel width for those two sizes are from 1" to 1.5" apart, so you might notice a difference in responsiveness front and rear due to sidewall stability variations. IIRC, 285/35/18's may work up front.

Do the fronts stick out too much or rub on the inside? If the inside you could have front cut down and welded back up. My brother had his rears widened on his firehawk to keep the stock look.

We need some pics of them on the car too!

I agree with TSW. Take a look at post #118 in this thread.

Thanks! I had seen these on AR's site awhile back, didn't know they were custom made. Wheels Vintiques made a rally, but I was told they sucked, and were about the same price. I am very interested in these, thanks for the info! I'm interested to know if stock center caps will work, I will call Ron's

Picked up my ebay won wheels in Dortmund Germany, and had to place them besides the Vette to see how they looked.

What do you guys think?

Man i am happy with these wheels, they turned out exactly what i wanted. Makes the C3 looks 25 years younger.

Breyton Inspiration 18 x 9.5's all four corners.

They would not fit under the fenders with a one foot adapter.....

I like them a lot.

Originally my plan was to use 18x9 1/2 on the rear with a 285 40 18. I have been looking at about 5 different wheels and the only one that both my wife and I like are the American Racing Rally wheel. They do not offer it in 9.5 in but in 9 or 10. Will a 10 in wheel with a 5.5 in back spacing work? I do have Van Steel off set T arms. Her is a photo of the rim.

just my two cents, for all you guys running the taller wheels, get some bigger roters to match, does not look good.its like going to a restaurant and getting a large plate delivered to you with just a kernel of corn in the middle, I hope you all get this, cus if you don't, well I will stop here ..

Are you suggesting that the common option J50 brakes then are visually too small when mounting the 18" wheel? The look may not be to your liking and then you will do what? Unfriend us?

I can live with that.

I considered larger brakes behind 18" wheels but I autocross on a limited budget. After the sticker shock for the large brake conversion I decided that the small rotors worked just fine.

Another problem is I race on the 18" wheels but store the car on the stock 15" wheels. $1000.00 Hoosiers are too valuable to not store properly in the off season.

Function over Form in my case.

Thanks for the comments.
