Courious. How far have you driven the car since you put them on? I don't think letting it sit to settle will do anything. What was the distance from center of the hub to the fender well before you changed tires. That measurement should be the same regardless of the wheel/tire size unless you change something in the springs or other suspension members.

Mine is in the same condition. New wheels and tires, and the interior is out. You need to drive it to make the suspension settle back down.

You need to roll your car forward and back a few times to allow the rear suspensions to relax. 8 or 10 feet each way should do it.
If that doesn't fix the gap, you'll need to adjust your rear spring bolts. Do your research here though before you try to remove them so you don't lose a limb.

i like your ride and i also want to know what you did to the suspension. I like the way it sit and no gap. how did u lower the front and rear? What parts did you use? How is the bottom and road clearance. Nice car. Is there any tiee rubbing

this is an awesome thread i want to go either 17 or 18 on my 79
the two sets of rims i love are the z06 rims like chevymans77 has or the torque thrust wheels that i see on allot of the c3 in my opinion those look the best on all later c3s they are just beautiful
i have 255/60/15 on the front now and 295/50/15s on the rear but they are worn out an i can't find these same tires sizes anywhere they were on it when i bought it i have no clue where the po found them but i want to go a different route
if i go with 18s what kind of change should i expect to feel comfort or harsh drive wise is it gonna make the already stiff an ruff ride even tighter and more aggressive on crappy paved roads or does it help the feel or does it stay the same pretty much?
