Got my wheels and I think they are perfect! My ‘69 is a dark royal blue and I think these will look great. I get the Michelin 255/45-18 tires mounted tomorrow.

They are a little darker than the Summit picture, but not as dark as the website picture.

I don't think those ring protectors look too bad.

Looks great! Any rubbing or interference issues?

Remind me of your wheel dimensions and tire size?

Like the Rocket Attacks. How wide are the wheels? I did 18x10 with 285/35, but my fenders are stock.

Hey Corey,
Thanks. Mine are 5.5 backspacing. They do rub slightly on the front frame rails if I forget not to really crank into it in a parking lot. No rub in the rear and no issues on road or track. The 285/35r18 Nankangs are pretty wide for their size also.

18x 8 all around Torq Thrust II’s polished aluminum wheels with Nitto NT555G2 255/45R18 tires. This combo is the diameter of Wheel & tire of 27.1 inches...

Much appreciate the info, many are running 18X9.5 and I was looking for the proper backspacing for 18x10.

You setup looks perfect, beautiful C3.

The proper back spacing for an 18x10 is the same for an 18x9.5 or any rim width. The issue is how much will the wheel stick outside the fender with higer rim widths. My 18x9.5 wheel with 5.25 bs in the rear does not stick outside the fender and I don't use a spacer.

What I did was buy the rocket attack wheels and a willwood big brake kit the cost for both of those items was less than the set of forgeline wheels I was looking at,I am by no mean's knocking the forgeline's they are the best of the best .

Got the tires mounted yesterday 255/45-18 Michelin’s. Hope to get them on the car this weekend.

Any suggestions for a more Corvette appropriate center cap? May have to use JB Weld to bond an emblem to the existing cap.

Edit: They did stop making 18X9.5. So my options are ....
18x8 front 18x9 rear or 18x10 rear

Can someone please help me find out what sizes and tires I need without doing anything past parking brake moving.
I would like to have it straight bolted on with no mods but if I have to move the parking brake that is ok.

I like that deep look on the back wheels, would 18x9 on rear look ok and what tire sizes do I need to go with because I cannot find the 9.5's to match any info anyone has given on here.

1979 with factory wheels now.
