Exactly, been under there a lot and never caught that before. Oh well, at least it was minor. Heading out with the boss today for an outing with about 8-9 C3's from the Canadian side of the forum..........wish you guys were here to enjoy it.

All the best

Been working on the fuel system. Having some issues with hot starts (very common with these Edelbrock carbs) and the pump to carb fuel lines were at best, temporary - to get the car running and test things out.

Although I've never had any issues with these glass fuel filters over the years, I have been warned by several people to get rid of it due to fire hazards. So this weekend I decided that my goals were to eliminate the glass filter and relocate the pressure regulator to a spot with less heat in hopes it might solve my hot start issues.

I moved the regulator to a bracket on the passenger side and ran stainless lines and AN fittings. Stuffs a pain to work with, but I think it turned out pretty good for a first try.

Here are the results:

A before and after shot

Another shot (little bigger)

I also picked up a rebuild kit so next weekend I'm going to pull the carb and go through it top to bottom.

Excellent progress on your 77 Adam!

Looking forward to seeing another 77 on the road.

Had the real bracket made for the regulator. The one in the photos was just to hold the regulator in place for measuring and plumbing purposes. Had one made yesterday that will be cleaner looking and won't have any hood clearance issues.

Pics to come

Thanks for looking!

My 1973 Vette, when I first got it, had a rubber fuel line and a plastic fuel filter. It was always in the back of my mind when I drove it, the thought of it melting an then spraying fuel all over my engine. With that said i quickly bought the correct hard line for it. One less thing to worry about it worth all the time and trouble. Plus it is much safer all things considered. Your engine and car look awesome!

Thanks CHS! Agreed - I'm going to feel better about this and it's one less thing on your mind when driving them. Continuing to plug away at safety and drive-ability issues before moving on to appearance.

Wow, Adam, finally caught the pics! Have to use my Droid to follow this thread, the PC at work, only shows little red 'x's! Very nice craftsmanship, in the bay! Great looking details, that I know, my Shop Partner would dig, because he's a full-on detail freak!

Had the real regulator bracket made and got everything mounted up this weekend. Pretty happy with the results - good clearance for the hood and didn't have to drill a single hole by using the existing one in the fender lip.

Adam, they didn't see the difference in how you reworked the mounts. Looks even more sano than before! Nice work!
