Just when I talked myself into actually working on the fiberglass modification on the car................

IT STARTS RAINING! (not even the frogs and alligators are wanting more rain right now)

Annnnnnnnnnnnnd.......when it's not raining.....it's time to do a RVZIO and move more boxes of stuff across the Mississippi River..........we arrived at our new home (mother-in-law's home) at dark which was a good reason to wait until tomorrow to unload the boxes.......

Here ya go..........OOOOPS......wrong trailer/that's RVZIO's!

This is more like it.....my brother-in-law's trailer fresh out of the flood waters...............with the official Blue Hurricane Katrina Tarp covering the Corvette parts........................

Exactly......the one in the pic above has only 110 actual miles on it!

The trailer is now ready for another 60 boxes tomorrow......

The car gets to wait another week before it is unwrapped......

We learned to wrap anything during Hurricane Katrina/ some people had to wrap their entire houses because of roof damage and blown-out windows!

Hopefully this will be the last "full" load of boxes.....then only lawn equipment.....

(The body filler should be arriving today or tomorrow....it will be a relief to have the rear fiberglass conversion ready for paint so I can install those chrome bumpers and new tail lights.)

Two more weeks until "closing" on our "high and dry" home which survived the latest 1,000 year flood.

Keep on keeping on brother. I know how you feel, I just got news yesterday that my father died thursday night. I'll be leaving San Antonio Monday after work, picking up my son in abilene and then we'll drive on to california for the funeral.

My sympathies - it's not easy. My Mum died last year (almost 102) and I still think, "Oh, gotta tell Mum..."

DG, we can use some of that rain up here. Talk to excavators and there's no moisture in the ground until they get down to about 6'.

How true Ed....even 102 was too soon! We have enough rainwater for the rest of America.....Literally.

We finally got another 50 boxes filled and stacked on the trailer to take across the Mississippi tomorrow.....even managed to go "house shopping" for a couple hours today.

Airborne - Rest assured of my ongoing prayers in the days ahead. Know how difficult this is and the hurt as well. Will also pray for safety and unity amongst the family. Blessings.

"Ya know you've been side-tracked when you have to use the search function to find your own thread!"

I have to make one more trip to our home today to touch-up some paint....then tomorrow afternoon the New Owner gets the keys to Our "Old" House!

MAYBE......work can resume on the chrome bumper conversion soon!?!?
