Hey DG, throw a big ribbon on that big green present of yours. You deserve it. Wish it could be finished when you unwrap it. Glad you're still hanging in there.
Thanks for the support Ya'll.
I didn't get to unwrap it today......My sick mother-in-law had a rough night/which means we had a rough night.
And the "Pod" arrived at our sold home today.....so tomorrow is booked up filling the Pod with boxes of stuff
DG. I remember a while back your hood was slightly warped. I just put a L88 hood on mine that has a slight kick up on the back edge by the fender and windshield. I have a weight holding it down now. Did yours straighten out?? If so, how long was the weight on for?? Thanks.

My hood was convex on the drivers side from a screwdriver being under the edge for a decade. I placed a two inch thick piece of wood under the hood edge nearer the wiper trough. Then I placed a 60# bag of blasting media directly over the convex area. Every week I lifted the bag to see if the convex area was "level".....it took over three weeks for the bulge to flatten. I may have reapplied the weight for another week when the bulge tried to reappear. The hood edge has remained level for a year....so I had the hood (re)painted recently.
I'm trying to get the car "unwrapped" this week so I can do some fiberglass work to the tail light clip/section that I replaced.......
Thanks again for reading along.
Do it! I'm currently cleaning up the mess I made of my 1 stall garage so I can get back to work on the 68 and trying to do some work on the 73 this weekend as well. I've been spending too much time in a funk on the couch.
No time like the present to get that project started back up.
Bulge for three weeks? On t.v. they say you should see a physician after four hours.

We just finished boxing up our upstairs "stuff" and putting it in the garage. Tomorrow we do the downstairs
I hope to drop engine in Sarah's car tomorrow. Then the fun of hooking stuff up. Gauges for temp oil and alt are all missing so there will be more work to do. The front brakes all look good - found they are drilled and slotted rotors and stainless steel lines and high temp pads! Woohoo! Enjoy the move, and know each box just gets you one step closer to unwrapping that present waiting for you in the garage! Take care my friend!

Thanks to all those who have stuck with my project through the last few months of getting absolutely NOTHING done on the car.......dodging Life's curveballs can really slow down a project!
As far as the flood down here....some humor..."Drunks with Guns".....
Glad to hear you are making it and thanks for the photo!!
This episode redeemed Louisiana after the crazies showed their true colors during Katrina. Brothers and sisters helping brothers and sisters, although I did see where one politician wanted to "permit" the Cajun NAVY!, LOL'S! money maybe involved??
