Retail is approx value when running, driving and shiny before title got branded. Pure sale means no reserve. It was under water. Since it is gulf coast of Fla it is about 99% certain it was ocean water. It will sell for 5 to 700 plus 200 buck brokers commission. Plus 350 or so in auction house fees. Plus 600-up to have it dragged to your house. I would think Tony might be close enough to go get it. Tony or Roger. And then there is the whole car full of 68 only parts and a clutch setup.

Doorgunner, did you decide to paint the rear part of the car now (instead of waiting to paint it all at once) because of concerns over contamination of the rear end while waiting to finish the front end?
That's a concern of mine, but I don't think with the colours I'm looking at its an option to paint the car at a different time from the front.

Your paint will probably need to be done from front to rear from what I've learned on the Forum.

OK, the coat flood vette just sold. 3750 bucks! To a guy in Michigan! 1000 at least in fees and 1000 more to haul it 1000 miles. I did not think it would hit 1000. https://www.copart.com/lot/27104879. Has to be a restorer needs stuff for a customer. I can't see a shop paying 6k to strip it to sell parts.

Ive seen a restored telescopic column on ebay for close to $2000. They could break even, but is it worth the effort, unless you're right and its its someone with customers

They say you can make a small fortune with old Vettes. First, you start with a large fortune...

But, hey, thank god for people like us, right? We take Corvettes that keeping/putting them on the road makes no economic sense and we put those cars back on the road so others may enjoy them after we're gone

It's time for some "Sprang" cleaning and rearranging...…..
All the electric tools are being moved into the addition as I add pegboard to the new walls.
The front original walls of the shop will have all the Corvette parts on one side and all the Harley parts on the opposite wall.
All the chrome parts will need cleaning and polishing....especially the 50 year old rear bumpers...…...
Tomorrow will be more painting and rearranging.....(while the car is at the Painter).

Boy Tony, the rear of the car came out awesome. I also love the peg board wall of parts. Cleanup time for the workspace is now in order. No matter what the size they always seem to get a little messed up. I started to make some changes to mine and man stuff is all over. Keep the pictures coming. Some very rewarding stuff right there...................
