You probably mentioned this T but is there an ETA on when the car will be back to you? You'll have a nice clean shop waiting when it does. I like the metal top work bench.

Ditto. One thing you can never have is enough workbench space =)
It really looks like the car is coming along. Are you excited to get it back yet?

The Painter told me he had to finish the wrecked late model Vette ahead of me....My car would be done about 30 days after he received it.
(But we know how that goes.....LOL)
I think another two weeks/I will do the fenders and nose myself when I bring it home since that would add 50% to the price if he did the work because of all the cracks and damage.

8 feet should give me room to spread out an assembly for cleaning or repair
I should be very excited, but...….(I did not know how long the PTSD & grief over my son's murder would allow me to get things accomplished).
It's a bitter-sweet kind of anticipation.

Looks like you have a month to get the Harley together. Will give you that much more wall space so you won't hafta ship parts to me to hang on the wall...

Yep....it oughta be a piece of cake after rebuilding trailing arms!
You're gonna be so proud of me when I finally use your fiberglass parts to finish the knows nose. I have the bumper lip fiberglass taped to te bumper, but you have to zoom on the pic to see the pieces.

You’re so right about how long a car can be stuck at a body shop. I’m finally seeing some major progress on mine and it’ll be painted soon. It’s only been at the shop for 11 months. Yours is looking great and I’m looking forward to seeing yours finished. I’ve been following your thread for quite a while and glad to see that the finish line is in sight. Keep up the good work DG.
Looks great T. Going to be a really exciting to see it under color and back home. Everyone can't wait, hang in there! Really cool.................................... ................
The painter finally cleared out all the insurance claims from the two weeks of rain down here/
LA. turns into a go-cart track on rainy days
He finally has the Hi-Lo areas close enough to level? the rear deck and quarter panels. The deck lid still needs to be mounted on the hinges and leveled. Also the tail light panel needs sanding, along with the door jambs.
Meanwhile I'm still adding attic space and ceiling to the single-car garage/shop...so the timing is O.K......no rush.

Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
Slideshow: A Jaguar designer's personal project imagines what a modern front-engined Corvette might look like if Chevrolet revisited the golden age of the Stingray.
