The car I would build if I had time and money would be identical to yours - truly, an awesome build.

I utterly hate when people do this to me (when I'm well beyond the point of using it)... so please forgive this

these get you passed by tech (at least in my side of the world) as solid (not removeable) mounts.

I really like how you mounted the front legs of your 6 point I'm going to have to do that with mine. thanks

Temp job of putting all the pieces together today so I would have an idea of what my finished product would look like. Pieces fit pretty good for first time. Maybe a week or two from final painting. All the door and hood gaps have been dialed in. Doors were off so all the jambs could be painted. Now if I can finish blocking remainder of car, we will be ready for final coat. Hope you like!

Hi ZIO,
Glad to see you got the front clip put back on your car. That will be one super nice ride when complete.
Colors for my ride will be the same as the firewall, flat black with the wide red stripe down the middle. Thanks for the question.

Default SIGNAL INDICATORS And HIGH BEAM

Finally decided on where to mount signal lights and high beam indicator. This will be right under the center most section of the high rise hood and very visible from inside. Lights are high intensity LED's.

Default Paint cloud on the Horizon

I hope all is ready for last coat of primer-sealer in the AM. Temp and humidity maintained pretty good all day today. Two AC units and four fans seem to do the trick. All I need is a couple of hours in the morning and maybe I will be one step further down this long road. We shall see !!!!

Hi 13611,
Side door was super simple on this one. I made a large overlap in the plastic on one side wall, sort of like what you see in a frozen meat locker. Simple to side step through it and the negative pressure seals it back up soon as you clear it. Hope this helps,
Norm

Alright Norm, you got it going on! love the booth. Just picked up plastic with corona treatment today. Still need some more time before I get to that stage. Carry on!

Default One solid color

Got this one in primer at 5 AM today. For the most part, not too bad but I did find more pin holes. Probably will get one more coat after some minor touch up.

Hey Norm, That looks pretty good from the pictures. You used the PPG JP355, is that what we are looking at? NICE!

Hi ZIO,
At the last minute, pulled a change up on this one. This coat is epoxy primer and I hope it was the right move. Now that I see some areas that need work, this will act as a sealer and a primer. Found several pin holes and need to address those before going any further. Hope to shoot the 355 next and have this hunk ready for top coat of hot rod black.
Thanks,
Norm

Hi ZIO,
Yes, it is very much alive and extremely loud with over 700 ponies under the hood. Neighbors are about half and half on this love affair. They still remember me from the red 72 start up days. They just shake their heads and say oh hell, here we go again !!!!

It runs and it is louder than it looks!! He gets visitors every time he cranks it up from his local public safety thanks to an awesome neighbor!

Norm, very nice work, its a shame this will not have the same shiny finish coat as your red one to fully show off the degree of skill and time you invested in the body work.

Default Final prime

Couple shots of final go round with primer. Once over with 500 and will be ready for top coat. Color will be pretty much the same as primer by going with the PPG Hot Rod Black.
